I thought there was a new hoodview? But latest video's still use the roof cam.
this roof cams aren't fun https://www.gtplanet.net/first-gameplay-video-of-car-rollover-in-gran-turismo-5/
One video showed a hood cam, but we never saw it again.

Personally I always use cockpit, but more cameras is always a good thing so I hope they haven't removed it.
Sure wouldn't mind seeing some RC cars in GT5... 👍HA! Think again! My RC car can theoretically top 80mph. Then again I could never control it at anywhere near that speed so it probably wouldn't even survive a lap around the ring.
We always have patches. Its never too late. GT fans waited for so long, PD should make us happy with proper hood view. With all the recent videos, it seems it not happening for day one, but we might have it in a patch.
It would be a serious dissapointment if the hood view is not there anymore!! It's my preferred view in GT4, I just wouldn't understand if they do so!
There has to be a driver's eye-level camera without the cockpit in my opinion, this is important especially for standard cars.
The "bumper" cam is too low, the "roof" cam clearly too high.
For standard cars, technically it shouldn't be a problem to reuse the point of view of the blackened cockpit camera for each car from GTPSP without actually showing the cockpit.

In GT5P the bumper cam is at driver's eye level actually. Same height as the cockpit. Pretty sure it'll be the same for GT5

Agreed. Given that the cockpit view is an "extra", or redundant viewpoint as far as the Standards are concerned, the view selection cycle will either have to be shorter, or, as you say, the GTPSP co-ordinates could be used - this would also have the benefit of, perhaps, offering a cockpit sound, since the bumper cam sounds very different.
I'm worried by the fact that the hood-cam's presence has been inconsistent in recent demos.

I don't have GT5P, but I never noticed that the "bumper cam" is at the driver's eye level from the countless videos of public GT5 demos.
Is it only my impression or was the "bumper cam" position changed in such demos?
Yes or No

Hey I'm all for it, but why did you have to pose such a loaded question? (I voted no out of spite)
you're obviously trying to steer people towards voting yes.
Yes (Your a fine upstanding cittizen)
No (you hate all other living beings and will not get to play gt5)
I just played the demo for GT5 for 2 hours My 2 favorite views are bumper cam and cockpit, But the hood cam was pretty good to me whats the problem?
