My camera still sucks, and it's probably because it was dropped at one point years ago and hasn't been the same since. It won't focus correctly, and the light levels are way off.

Even with all that said, you're still not a photographer, and you still were able to make something good out of it, meaning it wasn't impossible to take a decent photo despite what you liked to say!

I hope you get where I'm going with this.

Maybe when they stop repeating like a broken record.
I see you're still too comfortable up on that horse. Wish you'd step off every now and then.

Okay. I will admit that I take terrible pics. I looked at that post, @AOS- and I will try to find something to use as a back drop.

On another note, I have finished the Zombie Survival Vehicle. I painted the "glass" insert. And I have the head lamps detailed. I will post pics tomorrow.

I also have the base on the Bel-Air gasser painted black. It was that terrible grey color. I also did some filing on the wheels to make them more resemble gasser wheels I also have the motor I chose painted black, it started out gold. Ill post pics of my progress on this tomorrow. Without the motor. That is still a surprise!

Although my pics are still pretty awful (due to laziness mostly), i took @AOS- advice a while ago and i feel it really does help. All i use is a sheet of plain white paper (*A3 or A4*) and prop it up against something. Speaking of props..

Props! to Andy for sharing his knowledge and helpful tips. 👍

*My paper's generally badly creased.. i need to change that. *

White backdrops help make it easier to light up the wheels. I think even something as accessible as a legal size sheet will be sufficient for 1/64 purposes. Let us know how it goes.

Props! to Andy for sharing his knowledge and helpful tips. 👍

Thank you.

Found this in very much need for some love dint have much time so I gave it the standard semi glos black paint job and some of the usual touch ups I think it looks rather nice for a yard sale rescue :)

Hey @Cano ,the Majorette Saab Turbo also has a weird awful texture on the roof, like your Audi. Isn't that interesting?
It's great. :irked:

Fresh from getting its paint stripped too!

Yep, you're both on to something with that. I stripped a Majorette the other day (similar vintage), that had that roof texture. Kind of reminds me of a slightly less severe texture to that on the bases.

Omg, I had a few of these when I was younger. Until my mother gave all my cars to charity once I grew up and moved out, way before I started customising cars. I would have had plenty of nostalgic cars to work on.:(

Yeah, as I said in the Audi writeup, I've also found this in several instances. The latest was an Autobianchi that was already painted and stuff but an incident with superglue sent it to helll...

I tried my best for these upcoming pictures, so I hope you guys are satisfied :D

First, Ill show you the 32 Ford Coupe. I added a piece that looks good on the front end. I think you will like it. First, this is what I did to the wheels, I hope you can see. If you seen my laptop screen, you would understand my pain. (I will try to get a pic of the screen sometime)

Ford Coupe 4.jpg

Here is the piece I added to cover up the axle. I took it from a Sweet Sixteen.
Ford Coupe 5.jpg

Here is the Bel Air. I am turning it into a non gasser drag queen. Got a name for it, too.
Bel-Air 1.jpg

Here, you can see the front part of the base that I had to glue on. As I didnt want a gasser.
Bel-Air 2.jpg

[EDIT ->] I forgot to say this before, but the 16 cylinder motor I had lined up just didn't work. It was the motor from the Sweet Sixteen, the very same I took that front piece from. [<-]

And meet the unfinished "Hemi" motor. I will be painting the block Mopar Orange, and the belt will be black, along with the blower's intake. Valve covers are gonna stay silver, along with the blower.
Bel-Air Hemi.jpg

More pictures to come of the Bel-Air named "Strip Tease"

[EDIT]

I have an update on the "Strip Tease" Bel-Air. It now sits with the brightest purple I could make! I also have the rear quarter windows painted black, with the Number 23, my lucky number, on the passenger side, and "HEMI" on the drivers side. Enough of my blabbing! Here it is!

The motor is not sitting right, as it is not permanently in place, just rested in there to show the look.
Bel-Air 3.jpg

Here is the front end, with the motor's belt and blower intake painted black. The grille was filed to get a black outline to it.
Bel-Air 4.jpg

Here, I fixed the motor as well as I could.
Bel-Air 5.jpg

That is it for now. Hope you all like it so far! I still need to get decal paper, so I can print off the "Strip Tease" and sponsor logos.

Polish or clean up the engine a little. Where's that from, btw?
The motor is from a "Rodger Dodger". I took the exhausts off, and filed where they extruded from. I painted the motor silver, which it will get a coat of Mopar Orange on the block, and then I will repaint the rest of it in a new coat of silver. My previous post is edited! Mock up only though.

[EDIT]

Im going for a 580 CI Hemi look for the "Strip Tease". Back in the day, it was popular for non factory backed Drag Racers to use Hemis. Fun Fact: The first non factory drag Mustang was the Super Mustang. Ron Pellegrini bought a used Chrysler roadster chassis, added a fiberglass body, complete with a supercharged and fuel injected 392 Hemi engine.

Got some more done on "Strip Tease". I lowered the front end of the body, and found wheels that are smaller, and that do not rub the front fenders. Ill post pics later or tomorrow.

Ok putty it is the imports I work on don't need it like this one.

While the Hot Wheels Enzo in particular doesn't need putty to sculpt wider fenders, I personally would've reshaped the wheel wells so the car doesn't have such a high ground clearance.

With cars like the Enzo, sometimes you don't notice this type of issue until you've got to see it at eye-level.

Love that S30 @Emmcee, but i hate the way it squats at the back. It's not an easy issue to resolve, but it still looks way better with the smaller arch. 👍

[EDIT]

Seeing how you've done a couple of Zeds now, you must have also noticed one of the wheels doesn't sit flat with the rest. Took me ages to sort that out. I found it very frustrating. :banghead:

Yeah I noticed that to, it's like they put the big wheels on the back to try and compensate for that exact reason. I like how it sinks at the back tbh, looks like it has a real stiff rear end for drifting or circuit use. Still not finished yet anyway. Thought I'd post a pic while I had it mind as iam doing so many other cars that it might be a while before it gets seen again, need to touch up the paint and such.

Maybe lowering the front more, would help give it more of a circuit look. Either way, i look forward to seeing it finished. 👍

Or modelling paint and a paintbrush. While you can get brush marks painting larger flatter surfaces, more complex shapes like interiors work very well. Plus it's cheaper.

Big news! Strip Tease is pretty much done! Motor is polished, painted, and mounted! I'll be showing you some pics you already have seen, but I want to point out things I have done in those progress pics. And, here we go.

In this first pic, I filed away the gas cap, and the rear fender flaring. I also had to open up the front of the front fenders, as the wheels I have on the car now would rub, when put on the frame.
Bel-Air 1.jpg

Here, you can see the modified chassis, I took the front from one of those cartoony Pontiac GTO Dragsters.
Bel-Air 2.jpg

Here, this is just a quick mock-up showing the HEMI painting on the window, and the motor I chose. I replicated to the best of my ability, a 580 CI Hemi.
Bel-Air 3.jpg

A mock up showing the front end of the car. I filed the grille surround, so it would be a flat black.
Bel-Air 4.jpg

The other side of the car, showing the number 23, and I fixed how the engine sat in the engine bay.
Bel-Air 5.jpg

Now, here is Strip Tease, without it's decals. I need to get decal paper. But it's pretty much done. Here is the 580 CI Hemi motor. I took the motor from a Rodger Dodger, and removed the exhausts, and filed the remains away. Then I polished the motor up, and painted it Gloss Tangerine.
Bel-Air 6.jpg

Notice the different front wheels, and the stance.
Bel-Air 7.jpg

That is it, for now. Strip Tease will be getting rear tire logos, along with a few body decals. I will post more after its all done! Hope you guys like it! Im most proud of this project. It turned out really amazing, and I hope to get better at customizing. Thank you guys for liking my work so far, I really appreciate it when folks as good as you praise my work.

It didn't. The marker's paint did not reach the crevices of the interior. Always use spray paint to refinish interiors.
Don't have any special tools to modify I jus do what I can with what I have but I will look in to getting the special paints sorry for posting ugly work it won't happen again :)

A paintbrush will also do just fine if you don't have the luxury of contaminating your local air supply.

It will take more effort and patience.
