I'm using the same brush (the thinnest brush I have) as I've used to detail this one:

and I think what's giving you guys the impression you're getting is likely because I didn't leave out the door and bonnet lines. Now the extra lines are grabbing all the attention.

Might also be a good time to snip off some more bristles.

The blue one looks like it has a pinstripe design though. It looks nicer because it's not as 'in your face' as the Falken and because the blue/black scheme makes sense, but I'm not sure it accomplishes what you're going for.

Just so we're clear, I'm not defending my work. I'm speaking along side with you guys to pinpoint the cause of the general opinion.

I think I just went ham at the time with the brush, because I distinctly remember doing the lines that went from bumper to bumper like I did with the plain bodies. But after a while I was like "shoot! I forgot to do the door lines!" It wasn't until I finished that I remembered I didn't touch the door lines on the plain bodies.

Just finished this one.

Hot wheels 67' Dodge Charger.

There was a blemish on the trunk so I used a makeshift spoiler to cover it up. Also threw on the real riders.

Not clearly though. If it was clearer, it would help bring more attention to the finer things you may have included.

So I finally got off my butt and cleaned up the backlog/icebox of cars that I had piling up in a box.

This includes cars I saved for later projects, or cars I planned on stripping for their wheels/parts. I went over the entire bunch, decided if it's a project I can let go of, are there any parts I want to take off it, and can I just throw that into the upcoming loose car lot I'll be listing on eBay.

I've salvaged all the wheels, spoilers, mufflers, splitters and engines I had available.

This will now of course mean I now need to expand storage space, so went and bought another organizer.

True, points taken, but the main thing is, do you like it?

I do like it 👍

Also, Iwas coming to post about our new contest, when I realized that I did not share a single post of the previous contest, which had Convertibles as a theme. So I will post links to each class of the contest. Please check them out as there were a lot of quality jobs in all of them.

Basic class, which requires to keep the car's original paint:

Repaint class, self-explanatory:

Modified class, which allows deeper modifications to the car:

And finally Radical class, which allows basically anything, and which was one of the hottest classes due to the theme of the contest. What do you do for a Convertibles contest? Cut cars up!

Hi! I'm new to this forum (However, I have been going back through the posts for atleast 6 months ) Some of you guys' work is amazing! I started my first custom about 2 months ago. (A RealToy Subaru Impreza) and work done to it so far includes: Detailing, lowering, new rims. I have only tried painting one, and I had to paint over the original paint. (Never a good Idea) I only did this because I can't afford the stripper (Don't laugh xD)
