The only thing though is are you in a decision making position?
Yes and no. When we redid our production software I was the sole production manager sitting in with IT to determine functionality and the new look of our end product. The COO could have stepped in and countered any decision I made, but he didn't and six months after roll out congratulated me in person.

Any executive on a power trip can remove my ability to work without strict oversight, but after nearly two years it has not happened.

Basically, I am allowed to have decision making powers, even though it isn't technically part of my job description.

Some people argue that if the T10 devs are cocky that'd somehow negatively affect their game (as if the attitude they put into their advertising is representative of the work they put into the game). But personally I'd be more worried about a company that doesn't look at its competition at all rather than a company that sets out to beat the competition.

There's several games that GT could take tips from, and I'd rather they did so rather than just ignoring the competition.

Forza marketing is OK.

I hate PD marketing: we are making the best game ever created, all other racing game just doesn't worth attention compare to GT, look how famous real life racer praise GT more real than real life.

And then I'm buying **** arcade like GT4, where Porsche and almost all RWD drives like Impreza or Civic, no difference, and imbecile AI. LOL

One thing that especially cought my eyes hand ears was constant saying that game is 60 fps but everybody found out that cockpit view currently is not 60 but 30.(hope they can fix this)

It's been confirmed (the cockpit view) at 60fps. In multiple places now. Here is one from Che from Turn 10:

Ultimo hombre: How did the ingame graphics compare to the photo mode shots we normally get? Was cockpit mode still 30fps? Great impressions btw. Nice to see the handling improved even more.

Che: The in-game graphics look the same as photomode. When gameplay footage gets released as the press receive builds, it'll be pretty obvious. Also, don't worry about framerate. FM3 is a 60fps game.
