I started "drifting" about 8 months ago. Although, I didn't know what it was.....to me, it was just a quick MarioKart-style powerslide to get me around sharp turns in an extreme situation.

Also, I was really into the rally races.....

I found out what real drifting was about 2 months ago via GTplanet. I D/L'd some vids, and signed up on the spot. Since then, I drift for an hour or two every couple days...nothing major 'cuz I'm at work for 10 hrs during the days, and have a wife and son to take care of....they take up most of my time, so drifting has to take second place right now.

I was drifting about 2 weeks when i started to pull link drifts and **** like that, practicing whenver i got the chance really. Now look at me, a broken ps2 drifting colin mcrae rally 2.0...

Started last May or a little before then. Since then, it's been daily or every other day for a good few hours.

Sure it's easy to powerslide... but to refine technique, tweak settings, learn more about cars and physics, and try to understand and apply concepts (ex. racing lines); these can take a very long time... and there's always room for improvement.

Same here, and I also love the S14. Well, you already know that. I have been drifting for about a year and a half. I have much still to learn, but I think my skills are on par with most of the good drifters on GTP, IMO. ;)

I'm trying to get a vid made but my 2 year old cousin is here hogging the TV.

That's ok......I got 4 adults and one baby that does the same thing on a daily basis. Suck it in, stay up late, and get it done!!!! People need to sleep sometime you know........might as well take advantage of it, and make a sacrifice for the drifting cause:D

hmm, I'd say it took me about a week to be "good", but I think thats an easy mark to hit, going anywhere up from there takes dedication, drive, and alot of seat time. I've been drifting in GT3 for about a month now, I think, and I still have a LONG way to go.

Take your time and make a good vid. I'd much rather see your best drifts in a quality video than a decent one that was rushed just for the sake of releasing a video. That's just my opinion though.

It took me 2 days to get down the basics and like two months to get where I am now. I have an R32 vid in my sig, just click the R32 GTS-T-Sims. I also have a great FD drifting replay but sadly, ripway won't let anyone download.:( Plus, I have an S15 vid still waiting for upload...then I'm gonna make an Altezza vid.

P.S. I have a different R32 vid that's better in quality and has better drifts. But, i have no host.

Im trying to practice one hour/day but its hard when i have work, fionze (spelling?), other hobbies etc etc... However, as soon as thoose are out of the way, it´s drift drift drift. Well.. Practice practice pr...

Yeah, maybe he's trying to say he hangs out with Fonzie. ;)

Actually, it would be 'fiancee', if BAZZ was the groom-to-be. 'Fiance' would be if BAZZ was the bride-to-be. I could be wrong though. Oh, nevermind.

:| U really confused me.. I am going to marry her.. I am a "boy" and she is a "girl". Sorry for the spelling.

I have been drifting for a full week now... I practice everyday and I like to think I am alright... I am most likely wrong but I will put up some vids if I ever get that what-cha-ma-call-it thing to get my replays online.

I must be one of the oldest GT players around at 6 years.. but I took drifting more serious about 6 months ago... I burned through 3 memory cards, and 2 PS-1 and 2 PS2 now.. on my 3rd.. is that enough hours? Some of you guys here have some awesome talent.. I gotta get better...

I've been playing the GT series since GT1 came out. Got any vids? Which vids have you seen?;)

I played since GT1 came out.. i didnt gameshark any of the games til GT3 to just get the HP multiplier...

I am trying to get back my PS2 that my friend barrow until GT4 comes out.. (I just hope he'll cough up my steering wheel and all my other PS2 stuff).

I watched all the vids posted in the gtplanet video page for GT3. I assume those are one of the best parts of drifting.

I can get my own vids recorded and mpeg-ed.. but I need my PS2 back to do so.
