I don't know if you are in the same situation as me, I'm in high school and every kid wants a Supra and an RX-7 now. But they didn't know those cars existed before the movie, and I can't stand it how the always want to double-clutch something even though they would probaly stall it before they got it moving.

i knew all those cars existed before the movie, and yes the movie did raise awareness of some cars, but that doesnt make me like the cars more or less

Same here I did know all the cars before the movie, but it made the price go up a lot of the cars, and I still like the cars, just not as much.

The only thing that bothers me now is how many people think that every car has to have NOS for it to be good.

I personally hate all of the cars in F&F, and I hate the movie. The whole thing sucked. Fake crap.
And now I get tons of kids asking me "Dude you think I could get a tricked out RX-7 like the F&F one? That would be shweet man." and I just wish that the movie never came out. It just created tons of posers who think they know what they are talking about, then I(since I'm the main car person at school) have to explain to them the cars and why the movie was not right.

Yes Goose it's a terrible pleque, an infestation of NAWSSSS, ugly kits, fake theories, and an assumption that Economy cars were just made to be turned into something they will never be.
Then people do this stuff "to be different, unique", but if you look at it, they are just doing stuff that hundreds of other losers are doing in an attempt to become individual. Now, to be your own person, you need a fast stock car. That's how bad things have gotten.

That has to be the dumbest part of the movie. On every one of those you probaly won't need the clutch to shift since most new cars have sycronized gearboxs in them. On other note, Yeah, this plague must end soon but I doubt it ever will since I heard rumors of a Fast and The Furious Two, God save us from this.

i liked Jessie's Jetta the best out of all of the cars! I AM GOING TO KILL FRANKIE MUNIZ FOR THAT CAR!!!!!I WILL STALK HIM AND HUNT HIM DOWN AND SLIT HIS THROAT WITH A VERY VERY DULL PLASTIC BUTTER KNIFE!!!AAAHHHHHHHH!!!! oopps..sorry....please dont track me down and have me put in a menta institute.

Yeah Mazkid. I think you summed it up. A movie written by posers, about posers, for posers. And more posers coming out as a result of it. But what else should we expect from Hollywood at this point, I guess?
But, like most things, there are the people who know something about what's going on and the posers. If you care enough, it's easy to tell the difference. And, like you said, they seem to know you're the main car person there, not someone putting lots of stickers on his car and just waiting for nitrous.
But then again, I stopped having to deal with high school a LONG time ago.

It's an ad. Most movies have subtle -- and some not subtle -- advertising. The worst offender this year was 'Spider-Man'/Coca-Cola. Got a big budget and little backing? Grab yourself a company that wants a tie-in! Look at '79's 'Superman': everthing from Marlboro to...well, Coke again.

Remember adding a NOS sticker gives you 10 hp, and having a website advertisement as your first mod gives you around 20 hp.

i buy the movie and i saw it like 12/20 times,but when i turn on my dolby digital 5.1 is great.
may be you don't like the movie but i do.

and they think the only way to win a race using n.o.s
btw i heard in the radio they are looking for somes cars for the f&f 2 .

yeah i heard they were making a sequal too. oh and there is another film coming out about import tunning but this film is supposed to vear from the nos, neon and lowering of cars.
yeah i got to deal with the same bull at high school also. i know cars and nowone else does except for this one kid who says he does but doesent know s!@#.
my dad bought me a 90 prelude si for 1000 bucks cause thats what he thought i would of wanted after seeing the fast & the furious, knowing that i realy wanted a 90-94 240sx cuope which would of been around or less than the price of the prelude. he said it was a great deal and i could mod it but theres nothing to do to mod the car and when i say i want to put a spring kit on it or exhaust he says no cause he doesent want me going faster or drivng into corners harder
