How much money do you make with the B-Spec Grinder in one day?

I've (only) made 2 Million in the last 24 hours. My PS3 needed a rest last night, and I needed it today to play the new seasonals. :)

If it runs smoothly for 24 hours its around 5 million. If there are hiccups then it's less depending on how long it quits for.

I'm figuring that what has the greatest impact on earning potential is also how your friends run the widget as well. I can't say I've ever looked at how much I've earned in a 24 hour window but I doubt its as high as some of the posters here.

You definitely need friends who are running the widget to make big money.

To make "big" money you need a setup where your 6 (main) Bobs tend to place 1-6 (or close to) in a field of 16, preferably running Le Sarthe.

^ My bobs performance is sporadic...how can you improve their finishing positions? Can you train them a certain way?

I have my 6 (main) Bobs, all mid-30's to 40, running against 10 level 0 Bobs. While some of the level 0 Bobs do tend to break into the top 6 now and again (depending on random car selection), I do get the top 6 spots quite frequently, and if I don't, I still tend to get 1-4, and then maybe 6 and 7 or something. Unless, of course, one of my drivers does get the Esperante, then I can even end up as bad as last (while still picking up 1-4, though).

I average about $250K/h, that's $6M in a 24-hour period.

Getting them leveled up helps but how they finish also depends on the vehicle they are given, which you have no control over.

Edit: Tree'd by The Doctor.

Right now my bobs are level 26-27...they seem to be improving. Right now it just seems like my bobs aren't being run as often as i would like.

This is exactly what I do. I've seen a few people ask about this so I've written a little tutorial on how to maximize your remote race earnings.

In order to do it you need a few secondary accounts. Use one account to host the races. Then have a few more with as many level 0 Bobs as you can. Then run races with the 6 Bob's from your primary account and fill the grid with level 0 Bobs. Make sure the 6 Bob's from the primary account are in the "always use" category and the secondary account Bob's are in the "random use" category. Personally I used some accounts I had kicking around from some birthday glitching I did way back when. When you first start it's likely you won't have enough Bobs in your secondary accounts to fill the grid. Use the remote race friends thread to find a few friends who will let you race their Bobs. W

When you start using your secondary accounts they will only have 1 driver. After you race them for awhile you can collect the credits and XP. This will raise your B spec level and allow you to add more drivers. Then retire the original driver and create a new level 0 driver. Keep all the drivers in the secondary accounts at level 0. Lately I've been creating Bobs that are right at the extremes of the hot/cold scale. The cold Bobs seem to just be slow over all, but if they get a good start they don't make mistakes. The Bobs on the hot end of the scale seem to move up in the pack some, but on LeSarthe they will spin out at least once a race and drop to the back of the pack. For this reason I like to keep the Bobs in my secondary account right at the extreme hot.

I now have 6 drivers in 2 of my secondary accounts 3 drivers in 2 accounts and 5 drivers in 2 other accounts. I think I have enough XP stored to allow 6 drivers in all the accounts, but it's tedious to go into each account and do the steps to get extra drivers and make new level 0 drivers so I haven't bothered.

If you follow this method you should be able to make about 90-95K per race you run (provided the grid is filled each time). You can usually run about 2.6 races per hour which gives the 250K per hour.

Where I get problems is when the widget occasionally runs races without my primary account drivers or when it runs races without a full grid. Setting the delay to 15 seconds and threads to 2 seems to make sure the grid fills up. If I set the delay shorter I seem to get more races with less than full grids. If I set the thread count higher it seems to bring on "temporary server" problems.

It's actually quite funny to watch some of them drive. Particularly if they're racing each other for positions, and come to the corner at the end of the long straight(ish). Sometimes it doesn't even look like they're even making an attempt to get that corner. It's more like who gets to the wall first?

roughly 300k per driver every 24 hour...I try to aim for a solid 8M by the end of each week (Mon-Fri). try to get another 2M from A-spec on the weekends so I clear 10M every week. I find constantly creating lvl 0 bob on a 2ndary account/then adding friends to it is too much work...

This is my first day of Bobbing it using the grinder, and it looks like I'm on course for about roughly 500-600K for a day's worth of work. Admittedly, most of my bobs are either at the 25-30 level, or in the cases of The Italian Bob and Samurai Bob, fresh into the 15-17 level ranks.

And only if I got better random picks for cars in these races I'm hosting - I always seem to find the only Vitz in the pile of Supras.....

Since you're running the widget, if you start it with Debug Mode turned on, you can paste this:

preferences.preferredRace.value = 11611

into the Evaluate box to have it only run Sarthe, provided you're using the Singapore server. Of course then you'll likely just end up with the Esperante instead of the Vitz.

Unfortunately, I'm in the US, so not sure if that'll work.

I'm not too hurt by it, anyway - I'm sure I'm not the only one suffering the 'Pinto Amongst Mustangs' syndrome. :)

I'm running the widget as well... and forgive me for asking such a seemingly ridiculous question... how do you start it with debug mode on and how do I select the Singapore server?

Sorry again :dunce:

To not steer this thread off topic anymore than I already have, take a look at yonis' first post in the grinder thread. 👍

Thanks TB 👍 , and back to the topic of how much I make... well I've only just discovered the greatness of this widget, and I've worked out that I make approx. 1.5 mil per day (with drivers around the level 19-23 area). I think my biggest issue is the fact that all my friends bobs are higher level than mine so I finish around the bottom of the pack most races
