What level of hp should you limit your tuning to?

In higher hp cars it's more the torque produced as power is hit at higher RPM. If you're feathering the accelerator you are relying on torque, so some cars with less power will work, and some with massive hp might be awful for maintaining a good long drift

Anything over 550bhp is pointless in my opinion , any more than that and it's just a waste ;)

Otherwise, i think that any car with more than 1300kg bears for lots of torque. I don´t remember any car i have with less than 1300kg with less than 500hp. Normaly they will have more than 600hp, if possible.

I personally prefer around a 2.75 power to weight ratio on my cars, but it can change depending on the car or track.

Depends on the corner really, I can contain a good long drift on that big corner on Cape Ring Inside with my Jag XKR. I highly doubt something below 400hp could drift that corner unless it had a crazy power to weight ratio.

Stavingo

Power to weight is more important than overall power IMO. One reason why I like my Hachi Roku is because it only weighs 800kg. Caterham cars are just as fast as supercars because they are so light

Still, try and drift that thing around the corner on Cape Ring, massive lack of power.

I made that using a Skyline GTS with something close to 350hp. Very small angle, but doable. I dont know if its possible to do with less than 300hp.

My 255 BHP levin can make that loop with it's power, and in the middle of the track too.

I haven't done it myself, but it's got the power to. Made it 75% of the way round perfectly, much further than I ever did in my higher power cars!

That's upwards too btw.

Try upwards one time, definitely makes it more of a challenge.

LOL, i guess ill pass. Upwards i made very few times, using cars with no less than 450 hp. Im done with these kind of achievements, now i just want to be able to tandem.

I'm not talking about the Loop in CR North, I'm talking about CR inside, corner 4 on the picture, from the straight all the way to the chicane.

Take it when it goes upwards and to the left, and if you do with anything less than 400hp we need a video or it didn't happen
