Well I guess. I dont do it myself usually but the idiots at the car wash said so (its not good to do it too much), but they could be wrong.

I actually used this thing called nufinish I think thats how its spelled and its not a wax on the bottle it says you can use it as much as you want. Its not a wax so it doesnt strip the paint may be I should do that more often it really worked too. (when I used it)

Wax will never strip paint unless the paint sucks, the wax sucks, the person putting it on doesn't know what they are doing, or a combination. Wax is made to protect the paint from such things as water spots and sun damage. It's actually better to wax more often if you know what you are doing and use good wax.

My bro waxed his car everyweek or even every several days. It looks exellent for a 14 year old car.

I'd hand-wash her about every two weeks if I could.. I'm at college, have no money, and physically unable to do a decent job on it anywho, so it gets it every month or so. More if I'm driving it constantly, like every 3 weeks or so. Gets a good wax job between 1-2 times a year.

When I was driving the T-bird, (a hundred years ago) I washed it 2-3 times a week, whether it needed it or not. Our school had a gravel and dirt lot. So the old bird required a good bit to keep clean. I also didn't leave junk lying on the seats. I detailed about once a month or so.
My Austin got washed, about every 10-14 days. It took ten minutes. Now I wash my 'Scort at the beginning of the fall and the beginning of spring. So the salt won't eat it completely.
I will wash it in-between if the windows get too dirty to see out of.:D.
With my kids lives and activities, and my wife's activities, (she takes my car on my days off), I don't bother. And I WON'T bother with the mini-van. Clean windows are an invitation for somebody to put their greasy fingers or noses on them.

yea my bro detailed his car like once every 2 weeks...did the MPV several times too...but now that it's not part of his job, he doesn't have the stuff to do it as often.

I usually have my cars proffessionally detailed once a year.. towards the end of spring/beginning of summer. (IE-not as much rain and mud) when its summer, i tend to get her washed about every two weeks, and i clean it out reaaal good, (my own mini-detail kind of deal), every two months or so. winter time, she just gets vaccumed out when too much junk accumulates on the carpet, and the dirt wiped off when things get a lil messy. (unless it's somthing sticky, that gets cleaned off appropriately) Junk, intereior wise, is kept to a minum-nothing gets left on the seats or floor, if possible, and I take any garbage out whenever I get finished with the trip that accumulated it. (or before if possible, I love using other places garbage cans ;)) For the most part, I just like the interior to look nice, and in-turn, this of course helps it last longer. I think riding/driving with a nice, clean interior makes the expierence much more ejoyable.

I've been in some peoples cars, and it's a disaster area. soda cans, cups, used napkins, it's sick. We keep our cars clean. The only time we eat in the car is at a Sonic or just candy. My bro's MX-6, and the Probe too, are pretty bad cause he's constently fixing them, so parts are everywhere, tools are everywhere, but it's clean.

For some reason, after my bro detailed the 3(about 6 months ago) the passenger side dash is sicky...like really sticky like rubber cement or that spray adheisive...I don't care though it's not my car.

Our MPV is the cleanest in our fleet. My mom is the main driver, so there's only reciepts and other papers in it, but they are kept in the little thingy under the radio. The rest is really clean. Probably the cleanest van I've been in, and it's 10 years old...

I don't have any problem eating in my cars, and other people doing so, as often as I/they want, as long as they're not knocking over their drinks and "letting the fries fly". :P -gotta take the trash out when I leave tho, like I said. Not to bash on women, and I should prolly just keep my mouth shut ;) , but it seems my women friends are the most careless when eating in my ride.. If somebodies gonna knock over a drink and loose fries under the seat, it's gonna be a girl, heh. -but if that drop of coke hits the cuff of their shoe, they're all upset

I eat lunch in my car every weekday. And I smoke in it too (but notin the wifes car). I wash it when I just can't stand it anymore

But if I had a cool, fast, sports car I'd wash it all the time, never eat in it... ah, but I'd still smoke in it. I have never burned anything. I am very carefull and always open the window.

you and your cars still stink tho, quit smokin man :P just playin ;) as for more on my own vehicular eating habits, I'll eat in any car I own, don't care if it's a lambo, if I've got it, I'm so comfortable in it that I want to be able to enjoy food along with sitting in it. :)
