I'm feeling like a baby here ^^
I'm 14 and I play GT since 2001/2002 when I got my PS1. I have GT1, GT2, GT3 and GT4. If I buy a PS3, certainly one of my "must own" games will be GT5.

I'm right now 15 and been playing for 4 years.

I kept on asking my parent for a PS2 and they finally gave me one and it just so happened that GT4 was out and was being bundled with the console. I was really blown away by the realism and content.

I'm old enough and I have been playing GT since the beginning of the series, my memory is a little vague of GT original, but I remember GT2 like it was yesterday.;)👍

I have a suggestion. We should have a thing under our avatar that says GT Veteran.

For those that have been playing it since the beginning.

16, played original GT with my dad. Played GT2, then it broke.
Bought PS2 with GT3, then bought GT4, then PS2 broke, traded in both games(bad choice, i know, didn't know we were going to get a PS3:grumpy:
Bought a PS3, waited for GT5P, waited for GT's price to go down, waiting for GT5.
Bought a PSP, waited for GT PSP, then picked it up right after school on the first day it came out.

22, and been playing since June I guess. I own the first two but I never really could get into them since I wasn't very good, which didn't make it very fun for me.

But this time I bought GT5P, G25 and the wheel stand pro, and love playing every chance I get, which isn't very often these last couple months, so much school work.

19. Been playing since the first GT came out. I had the Japanese version as well as the North-American version. I also have GT2, GT3: A-spec, and GT4.

I have a PS3 and I'm currently awaiting GT5's release.

I am 13, and I have been playing the GT series since I was 3 years old, back in 1999.

I'm 23, and I played GT2 on bleem! on my Dreamcast back in 2000, bought GT4 on release day, looking forward to the new rumored demo, and I can't wait for march get here...

I'm 18, and I've been playing Gran Turismo since the first one came out, of course I wasn't any good until GT4 though.

Hmmm... had just turned 12 when I got GT1 back in July '98. Now 23.

Wow. Very nearly half my life at this point. Every game after the first was purchased on release day. GT3 was actually owned for 3 months before I had a PS2 (borrowed a cousin's until then). GT4 came out during first year uni, my roommate came with me to pick it up then had to pull an all-nighter for an essay. I gladly kept him company grabbing all golds, something that I always try to get out of the way first now too.

Bought the PSP version on release day (from GameStop since the EB in the same mall still had it as "coming soon"... no wonder they've been bought out), but still don't have Prologue. Meh, it's not a full game, will get GT5 on release as per usual.

Like the poster above, I'm 23 and I must have been about 12 as well when I first played GT, though I never owned the original. Then I never had a PS2, played PC games mostly but since getting the PS3 I picked up a copy of GT5 Prologue.

I'm 42 and been playing since original GT on ps1. Eagerly awaiting release of full game and trying to stay amused with colin mcrae dirt, Ferrari challenge etc. to be honest they dont cut the mustard the way GT does and my prologic GTP is getting twitchy :)

Turned 44 today, and have been playing since the day GT was released...I forget the year and the month, but when Video Easy got it in they rang me as I had pre-ordered it. PS with the digital controller...I can't believe now, that I tolerated that. Pre-ordered the PS2 with GT3 bundled, and upgraded to the Analog controller...woohoo! then got GT4 with the Forcefeedback wheel...it had its moments but steering/tracking was a bit dodgy, then got the G25 when it was released. Much better. Got a 40" LCD HD TV at around the time GT5 Prologue came out, so Prologue was the first thing my new TV saw.

Just can not wait for GT5....

^Happy birthday . I'm 22 and have been playing since the release of GT1 in the states. It was my first game with the PSX along with Crash Bandicoot

But did you finished any of them? ;) Only then your a "vet"

You don't have to complete a game to be a 'vet'. I spent well over 1000 hours on GT4 and i'm only around 98-99% complete.

Being a vet also doesn't mean you are any good either. I have yet to get a top 100 time in any circuit on prologue. I'm just not patient enough to perfect my times. I know i could if i put the effort in. I'm getting a G27 for Christmas, so maybe that will give me the motivation to put more effort into my driving.

Yes, I agree, and 90ish % is more than enough. But just having the game doesn't mean automatic -> VET

20, been playing since the 1st day that the PAL version of Gran Turismo 1 came out, that game was a rush! Remember I was getting golds on the licenses while my bro struggle to get bronzes LOL.

Got GT2 played it to death and did every last championship and race, only thing I hated was the weirdness when driving certain cars on banked turns.

GT3 was a bit of a let down for me for some reason.

GT4 I was absolutely hooked on, I still play it to this day, endlessly lapping the 'Ring.

Haven't got a PS3 :$

Hey... I'm 15 here...

First started playing GT was back in 2003 when I got my PS1 with Gran Turismo 2.

Then in 2004, I bought my PS2 and Gran Turismo 3 but didn't complete the game and it's somehow let me down somewhere...

Lastly in 2005, I bought a Gran Turismo 4 and it really impressed me in the first place!!

GT5 is a big question on when will I get my PS3 and Gran Turismo 5 itself...

I'm 21 (22 in a few months) and I have been playing GT since GT1. I never owned any GT game until GT4 and GT5p, but I've been playing my friends and families GT games since the first one and I can say that I'm a hard core fan of the series. I never owned a PS until the PS3 and I later grabbed a PS2 for GT4 since my PS3 is not backwards compatible.

I'm about %20 in GT4 right now. It's an intense game with some harsh physics. It would be much more enjoyable with Wheel. I think I'm a pretty skilled racer, but I could definitely learn from some more experience GT owners here on this forum. I would be glad to take a backseat to the true pros and sharpen my skills.
