52 and holding...
Never played on a console before GT5
IRL I've raced everything from bicycles, motorcycles, Karts, Jetskis, SuperG, Downhill and of course sportscars.
Raced a 911 RSR for 10+ years including twice at the 24hrs of Daytona.

I´m 27 and started playing with GT1 in `99 . Have since bought all the main releases and the Prolouges. GT5 was the reason i bought my PS3 in 2008.

I am 17 years old and started back in 2005 or so with gt4 on my PS2. I heard some great things about Gt4 from someone so I had to buy it. Never regretted it. Now I regret that is sold my good old ps2

Nice, old man! I'm 51 and also never used a console before GT 1. Have them all and used a wheel all the time. Enormous fun and time killer. I love to drive and this is the perfect game. Also have the Need For Speed series and Grid.

42 years old and playing GT since GT1 in 1998. Bought my PS3 just for GT5. So 299 for the PS3, about 150 for the DFGT, and 60 for the game itself. That's over $400 just to play one video game. Enjoyment of playing the game is well worth it, tho. 👍

Haha yea same here. Except that, I bought an HD TV and PlaySeats setup just for this game also.

So that's about $1,500 just for one game.

Im 26. I never head of GT before I got it. I lived in a small town in nowhere and getting playstation games was not easy. I saved up some cash and went into the city of Ottawa to a gamestop(or whatever gamestop was in canada before gamestop put their name on it), and after browsing every single game on the shelf, I picked up Gran Turismo. The awesome cover shot and the promises of so many cars had me sold. Turns out it was release day.
I played the **** out of it, but no one else at my school had ever heard of it. I would bring it to get-togethers and not long after everyone had it.
Since then I have had every console release on opening day. GT4 I didnt get into nearly as much due to time, but GT5 has been good to me. GT2 and GT3 were always in my drive, and the only time Im not going back to GT is when a new NHL games comes out.

I'm 42, got GT1 on launch day, played them all apart from the 4 & 5 prologues. Still own 1-4 but got rid of the concept (not before earning my 10 mill for GT3 though:))

I'm now 30, first played gt3, got it with the PS2. Got gt4 and played the hell out of it at the end of college, now back in school (law) and playing gt5 semi-regularly (when the wife lets me).

Tell her it's all part of your course work and that you've been set a long term *cough* study into the impact of video gaming on marriages and whether it can be sited as a legal grounds for divorce.

...or not.

21 now, soon 22 in July. I have been with the whole series starting with GT1 when I was 8 in 1997!

Been a long time :D

I'm 23. Played GT1 for the first time early or mid 1998 I think, bought my PS1 late december 1997.

Since then I've played every game except GT5P.
