I'm 60. Will be 61 in about 6 weeks. Didn't start GT series until GT4 and only really played around with that in arcade mode. Being playing GT5 pretty much every day since its release and loving it. Oh and this is my first post on here. Been reading the forums for a while though.

Welcome to GT Planet! :)
I'm only 33 and been playing from when GT2 came out in Europe. Can't remember the year...

Ah, this thread makes me feel young again...37 at the time of this post.

When I was 5, my dad bought us all an Atari 2600, so Night Driver was the first "driving simulator" I ever played. (Pole Position wasn't due to come out for a few more years.)

Played arcade games every so often, but didn't really care much for games by the time I was a teenager. Was into cars, racing, anything with wheels on it by the time...Fast forward ten years, and scraped together some cash for a PSX, and have been playing the GT series since early-1998, at a friend's house doing Arcade Mode 2-player battles. Didn't think much about it, until he gave me GT2 in 2000 as a gift, and was hooked...went back and picked up GT the next year for fun, and didn't buy GT3/PS2 until mid-2003, as I was still having lots of fun with GT/GT2.

Bought GT4 on its US debut in February 2005, but haven't had much time to play games seriously since mid-2006. Don't really miss it much, to be honest, but occasionally I'll fire up my PSX for the rare half and hour or so I can play games.

Started playing Gran Turismo 1 and eventually Gran Turismo 2 on my friends PS1. We would spend hours after school with that game. Didn't start playing Gran Turismo on my own till Gran Turismo 4, when I finally got a console PS2 (my first console, I'm 28). Bought a PSP and waited years to play Gran Turismo PSP. Bought a Playstation 3 to play Gran Turismo 5 Prologue, and now Gran Turismo 5.

Glad I am not the only one in the 30's. Since GT1, but never liked GT5P. PD has saved me though....IRL, racing was costing me too much on a weekly basis since 2003. Not the real thing, but still fun and entertaining.

I'm 48 and a half, and I started playing GT4 about a year ago (borrowed from a friend, along with his fat PS3), finished it in July and then started playing GT5. I now have my own PS3 :)

Just turned 28 and have been with the Gran Turismo series since the very first day. I've owned and loved every one of them.

If we could get the Audi R18 TDI and new Peugeot 908 in GT5 I think I'd cry with happiness...

I'm 40 and feel like I'm 26. Age is only a number right? :)

I started on GT-4 simply by accident and, thank God, it has turned out to be THE BEST gaming series I've EVER played! I thought GT-5 would NEVER arrive!!

I am hoping for some serious updates to the series5.... b/c I know it will be a LONG time before we see a GT-6.

In my most humble opnion...it is the BEST game series in the history of modern gaming. I am old enough to say that because I've owned and played every single gaming system since Atari in 1983!! lol!

Happy racing to you all!! Thanks for letting me express my thoughts here...

30, since GT1. Skipped GT4 because they cancelled online racing when I had already gotten used to playing games online on PS2. When they cancelled the online, I cancelled my preorder. That's the only U.S. released GT I've not gotten at launch.

Am 27, playing since GT3 (got it in 2004, just after I got my PS2 end of 2003). Still remember how I always craved for the R390 GT1 Race Car. Had some really nice races with that one using my 787B, hence the 787B is one of my fave GT cars of all time, along with the R390 GT1. When GT4 was released, I found it sad that the R390 GT1 lost a lot of its speed, being the quickest car on GT3 and not being able to stay close to the 787B and GT-ONE in GT4... The day before GT4 was released, I finally won my first championship with the R390 GT1 Race Car, after I finally won it several weeks before GT4 came out I think, hehe.:D

Im 33 been playing since the first hired out both gt and nfs high pursuit played nfs once then tried gt and was hookef

33 here also. Been playing sence GT1 took a break from GT3 and GT4. Back at it with GT5. Got it bad this time. Wife is pissed.

Don't think I posted in here yet so here goes. I'm 30 and have been playing GT religiously since GT2. I played GT1, but didn't really get into the series until GT2. GT3 was the first one I got 100% completion on and is still my favorite to this day.

I used to have such a sweet Audi S4 '98 that I would tear apart a lot of the competition with lol.👍

hmmm....Ill post here too. 40 years young, and played GT from the first game. I can still remember how the first game blew me away with the concept of racing for money and buyin cars then upgrading them. Played GT1 a bit earlier this year, the intro is still awesome, but the game needs heavy use of the Rose tinted glasses nowadays! ;)

Close to 30. Been playing since the late 90´s. Have had all GT´s except for the GT Concepts, and GT4 Prologue.

It´s funny how I´ve changed as a GT player. Before I just wanted to gold everything, beat everyone and tune every single car to the limits. And now since my late days of GT3, going through GT4, until GT5 I just like to cruise around with almost stock cars.

I'm 35. I've only been playing GT since GT5 Prologue - although I did get a few chances to play a bit of GT4 some years ago.

I've been sim racing on PC for ten years (starting out with touring cars and GT mods for F1 Challenge, then moving on to GTR, GTR2 and numerous others).
If I recall correctly I bought my first force feedback wheel back in 2001 (and I've had my current Logitech G25 since 2006).

39 years old, and only started playing GT5 at the end of June 2011.

In fact, never owned a PS gaming console before then either - bought the PS3 and GT5 together at that time after playing GT5 for a few days at a friend's house a couple days before, and got hooked on it :guilty:

No regrets thus far :dopey:

35 years old, started playing on May 8th 1998 (the release day of GT1 in Europe).

I became a rabid fanboy about 15 seconds after I booted up GT1.

PSone + GT1 in 1998 = mind blown.

SSR11 still haunts my dreams, it took an enduro there to get to grips with it.

Also the GT1 intro still sends shivers down my spine and gets me pumped for some racing

Same here.

I'm 32 and I've been playing GT since GT1, near release date.
I remember not liking it at first. Pace just seemed too slow for someone used to NFS.
But then... the replay was definitely what made me get it. There had to be more to the game, with an awesome replay like that!
Then after learning how great GT1 was... well, I've practically made a close friend buy a PS to play the game with me.

And we still play GT5 together - now online, since I moved away from my hometown.
