How to use buttkicker without a AV receiver?

I bought an Aura Bass Shaker and a cheap $30 sub amp that puts out 50 watts. I tried splitting my sound card's subwoofer signal to the regular sub and the amp, but it didn't woork. The amp has speaker level inputs though, so I tapped into the sub wires and connected that to the amp, which runs the bass shaker.

Total price about $75 and sounds every bit as good as the Buttkicker for 1/2 the price.

Thanks for the resources guys, I'm looking into getting the hardware I need to get everything set up right now. I've heard good things about Monoprice, so I might have to step outside of the safety blanket of my Amazon Prime membership and eat the cost of shipping.
