I would like it back as it was in GT4, where you didn't have to do it, yet you could let your Bob take over whenever you wanted.

It wouldn't be half as bad if he wasn't as idiotic as he is now:rolleyes:

Potato option means "Other" in this case:dopey:

I voted for "dump it". I don't have a problem with a race manager game as such, but I think that future Gran Turismos should concentrate on the driving itself.

Let's face it, most people (mis)use B-Spec for gathering credits. Is that what Kaz intended? Thus, I'd prefer a gameplay with a well balanced credit system and no B-Spec at all.

potato, I think B-spec should be more of a behind the scenes thing. Where you can maby choose manager, photographer, or like pit crew member/tuning. As all 3 you could walk around like photostory (of course certain guys could go to special places that deal with their job)

Keep it, it's a good alternative to get credits when I can't play myself. Other responsibilities then sitting and winning races and earning credits/xp. I know it comes as a shock to some of you, the world isn't perfect!! :-)

GT4 was cool when it comes to B-Spec. And for everything else as well.

Bob racing for you in endurance races was great.

Voted b) Make it optional (similar to GT4)
The only way there's any sense in endurances is GT4's way. Equip a fast car, put Bob in and speed time up x3. I cannot understand what PD has thought with the current way the endurances are set up. Having to play 24h straight or keeping the system on for a week? Ridiculous!

(I used free sundays to complete GT4's 24h enduros. Read the Hitchhikers quide to galaxy while listening the x3 sped up racing sounds on FGT :) )

I'd like a Berate bob for driving so slow option in future installments.

That, or a Face a firing squad if you lose the race and/or wreck the car option.

B-spec mode in GT5 is an abomination beyond all abominations. It's almost as if PD pooled all of their resources and spent 6 years carefully designing the absolute worst game mode they could possibly conceive.

GT4's B-spec mode was a wonderful feature. It allowed people with jobs and lives to complete some of the more daunting tasks while still letting the 'hardcore' players to take those challenges on themselves if they wished. Personally, I used it to speed through some of the challenges that I would have won by a mile anyways. Why they scrapped this in favor of the horrid monstrosity that is the GT5 B-spec mode is beyond me.

Dump it. Put all the reward cars onto new A-Spec races.

Turn GT5 into the 'Ultimate Driving Simulator', NOT the 'Ultimate Someone ELSE Driving Simulator'..!

The resources wasted on B-Spec might have given up a competitive AI, or enough playtesting to realize what a grindfest the game structure is, or cockpits for ALL cars, or another 400 A-Spec races, or.....

B-Spec feels too much like padding. Not a lot of options, you don't really feel like you're managing a team of racers. It's all just so dry & perfunctory.

Keep it, but improve A-spec by doing the following:

-Increase the number of events (GT4 was good in this respect, but there was still entire classes of car that wouldn't fit into any event without overkilling the opposition)

-Increase the length of races, to make tyres and fuel actually important. Why bother making such a tyre model when tyre wear has no effect in the races (Other than the 9 endurance events half-heartedly splashed on the end)?

-Increase event rewards significantly, or at least implement a sponsor feature where you can get a sponsored car for a particular event by getting to a certain A-spec level. (Yes you can share cars online - but the idea that they can fix everything by just adding a relevant online feature is flawed. Not everyone has an online connection).

-Increase the number of races in a championship event. Three races for SuperGT is not enough.

-Allow us to create custom offline events with restrictions. Even GTPSP had a feature that was heading in this direction (Allowing one make races with custom number of laps and AI difficulty - whilst still recieveing a credit reward unlike in arcade mode)

-Allow us to save during endurance races and championship events (Already under development though)

B-spec is good even though there are problems with it. But there are far more pressing problems with GT5 that need to be addressed first.

Get rid of it. I only play this mode to win cars and get towards 100%. It's mostly boring and it lacks a good tutorial to explain what affects driver development. Instead they should focus on making the A-Spec part much better and complete.

B-spec should be a game sold separatly whit more opitions and better programming, like they do it whit football (soccer) games

And how is B-Spec not optional now? Refusal to to B-Spec does not in any way limit your ability to play other modes. It just prevents you from attaining 100% or winning every prize car...neither of which are "mandatory" to progress in other modes.
