Hello,
There is a cool race also in Japan a lot.
Supposing you are interested, please look at this.

Although streaming video is seen, access from US may be slow.
I'm sorry when there is a text which cannot be understood since I am poor at English.

Your not poor, I understood everything you said. Pretty interesting video. Just, that Skyline that you posted far too ugly.

Thank you for replying.
The upper skyline is the JGTC champion car last year. Satoshi Motoyama & Richard Lyons drove it.
JGTC is the most popular local race in Japan. it seems to hold the exhibition race in US this year and all rounds are broadcast from this year in Europe.
Of course D1GP is lovely.

I was able to check out some of the videos. The January 24th (I believe) event had 6 cars at Tsukuba. I don't want to tick anybody off, but the race kind of reminds me of what Gran Turismo 4 could be like racing that track. That BEAUTIFUL S15 Silvia going around the corners and all. I don't know if Tsukuba is like a proving ground for cars in Japan in much the same way as Bonneville is to America, but there is something about Tsukuba that screams "bragging rights to the winners." Then I seen the Super Taikyu coverage as well. It would be nice to have that kind of stuff, again, in GT4. But I am not making a reply for GT4, I'm just saying that it's kind of reminding me of what the game will be like. Nice finds, Masuyan. "Domo arigato" for the links.

Thanks watching my videos.
Sorry, I don't know exactly Gran Turismo 4 in spite of Japanese.
It is certain that there are a lot of people who like drift though it is not a race that competes simply for the speed.
An instigator is great Mr.Tsuchiya who is the model of "Initial D" you know.
This photograph is "Super taikyu race" in the Twin Ring Motegi

Darin...that skyline is not ugly it's beatiful.
And , can somebody post more pics of those JGTC cars beacuse I just love them.;)

Last year, I got a Super Street magazine and covered was a dark blue and orange Subaru Impreza with Gram Lights sponsorship. Don't tell me the dude switched to a Mitsu Lancer for this year. It's not a bad thing; I just noticed that.

Anyhow, keep in mind. I'm a late-bloomer to drifting. I try to enjoy doing that in Gran Turismo 3. I even ran the Grand Valley 300km trying to drift out my blue and black S2000 around the track. I kind of regret not getting a JGTC cars, because I had to pit sooner. Anyhow, I think the most stylish drift car other than the S15 Silvia is the 1993 and up RX-7. The picture in Masuyan's lastest thread (as of this date) proves it. I think I even seen the drifting QUEENS go at it once the kings played around. I think it is a nice idea to include the Super Taikyu series as well. It would have been super-weird to include the Honda Fit Race Car from "GT4 Prologue" in Super Taikyu. I was able to find computer units to play the videos better.

So, I don't know which I like better. Super Taikyu, or drifting. Both are cool. Drifting is for bigtime style points, and Super Taikyu represents probably the best racing in Japan other than the JGTC. Masuyan got your Japanese racing fix, folks. Just pick a video, watch, and learn.

It's just too bad American media isn't mentioning these races a lot. It would be cool to put this across the American media. Even better, if the JGTC can win negotations for a non-points race in the States, I'd love to see the race either in (1) same-day coverage, or (2) live. Japan has some great racing. Maybe since I'm so fascinated and intereted in Japan, I've grown to love the racing in Japan. So if I can see good racing in Japan, I will enjoy watching the Nihonjins (Japanese) go at it.

Japan is such a wonderful country. I've never been, but here is a nice way to learn about the other prefectures. This may be off-topic, but I just want to offer this website:

Thanks for nice comment.
Even if live in Japan, we can enjoy a U.S.'s big race. You may know perhaps, IRL is held in Japan this weekend.
Unfortunately I cannot go to see the final race. Because I will go to SUGO circuit to see open practice run of JGTC on the same day.
As for JGTC, even open practice is often broadcasted but Drift is hardly on TV.

This pics were taken in "Fuji Speedway" in March, last year.

You can see more various pics.👎

Good luck to all competitors looking to challenge the Motegi oval this weekend in Japan. The race should be on in Japan around 11:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time, so it will be about 2:30 PM in Japan time by the time the race is getting ready.

Anyhow, I guess it's been fun commenting on this topic with this reply. Take care, everyone!

Also IRL is hot in Japan now.
I went to the preliminary of Motegi today.
Many fans have gathered out of Japan in spite of weekday.
Probably this race has most visitors this year in Motegi.

Tony got the 3rd. Tora's condition is bad after crashes ysterday.

Wow... I'd love to see two things in Japan:

(1) Honda winning at home
(2) a Japanese racer winning at home
(3) a Japanese racer winning at home with Japanese power

I mean, Honda is one of the biggest car manufacturers, and it would be lovely to see them win at Motegi. But I don't know if a Honda-driven team won the JGTC race in Motegi on the road course (I have yet to see GT racing from Japan on TV other than the JGTC). Anyhow, good luck to all. The race is 11:30 PM Eastern Daylight Time. I'm going to try to stay up to see the race in Motegi. Just hope it doesn't get rained out. In fact, none of the big oval racing series had a rain-out yet. That's good, since the only way to ruin an oval race is with rain. Anyhow, see you.
