Last year, I got a Super Street magazine and covered was a dark blue and orange Subaru Impreza with Gram Lights sponsorship. Don't tell me the dude switched to a Mitsu Lancer for this year. It's not a bad thing; I just noticed that.
Anyhow, keep in mind. I'm a late-bloomer to drifting. I try to enjoy doing that in Gran Turismo 3. I even ran the Grand Valley 300km trying to drift out my blue and black S2000 around the track. I kind of regret not getting a JGTC cars, because I had to pit sooner. Anyhow, I think the most stylish drift car other than the S15 Silvia is the 1993 and up RX-7. The picture in Masuyan's lastest thread (as of this date) proves it. I think I even seen the drifting QUEENS go at it once the kings played around. I think it is a nice idea to include the Super Taikyu series as well. It would have been super-weird to include the Honda Fit Race Car from "GT4 Prologue" in Super Taikyu. I was able to find computer units to play the videos better.
So, I don't know which I like better. Super Taikyu, or drifting. Both are cool. Drifting is for bigtime style points, and Super Taikyu represents probably the best racing in Japan other than the JGTC. Masuyan got your Japanese racing fix, folks. Just pick a video, watch, and learn.
It's just too bad American media isn't mentioning these races a lot. It would be cool to put this across the American media. Even better, if the JGTC can win negotations for a non-points race in the States, I'd love to see the race either in (1) same-day coverage, or (2) live. Japan has some great racing. Maybe since I'm so fascinated and intereted in Japan, I've grown to love the racing in Japan. So if I can see good racing in Japan, I will enjoy watching the Nihonjins (Japanese) go at it.
Japan is such a wonderful country. I've never been, but here is a nice way to learn about the other prefectures. This may be off-topic, but I just want to offer this website:
