Yet another quasi-intellectual retort from someone who thinks he's pretty special.

Hi there. You may know me from such retorts as 'you sir, are a moron'. I'm here to explain what a retort is.

Okay, I'll spare the sarcasm. That wasn't a retort; I asked him a question, and he didn't answer it. I wanted to make sure he understood I asked him a question. But I understand what this is, it's "let's all jump on the anti-American person because it make us feel better!"

On a point raised earlier, I was rather under the impression that there was likely to be very little (if any) collusion between the Taliban and Iraq.

There is none, and ther eis no reason for any. Bin Laden openly called Saddam an 'infidel'. While last time I mentioned this someone said "And you really believe that?" there are other reasons to doubt any ties. These are two groups of people who just have totally different goals and means at their disposal.

If you really want to find anti-US terroist related states, look at Saudi Arabia. However, while we know that several terroists targeting the U.S. have come from Saudi Arabia, we haven't done much if anything about it. Anyone want to guess why?

The major problem, of course, is that we get ALL our oil from the Mideast. [/B]

I saw a BP commercial stating that 80% of the oil used in the U.S. comes from the Americas. I couldn't believe it myself, and haven't been able to find anything to back it up or refute it. It was a commercial, after all.

That's true, but America should've gotten involved in the War a long time before we had -- it's all about being proactive. Had we been proactive in the War, Pearl Harbour probably would've never been bombed.

America had no reason not to get involved in WWII.

We had great reasons not to get involved. WWI wreack a terrible toll on all involved. Isolationist feelings were actually quite strong before the attack on Pearl Harbor. It's entirely arguable that America 'should' have gotten involved in WWII before Pearl Harbor. Proper defenses on either seaboard would not have been very difficult; Japan never would have been able to make any kind of attack like Pearl Harbor had we been properly prepared.

Morally, yes we should have entered the war. However, we would have been just fine had we stayed out of it.
