lol - that'd be a nice plate to snag.

Some guy in Hong Kong just paid $141,000 to get the plates "97". (The date that Hong Kong was returned back to Chinese rule).

A friend of mine in VA, went to see if he could get his plates to say, "I am GOD"

His name is,
Greg Osmond Dupris.

But they wouldn't let him.

I had plates in Maine that read:

NVRSUMR

Summers up there last about 3 months!
It's also the name of a Denver based snowboard company.

they had an auction of plates here in oz a while ago. the number 1 went for over 250 000. all that for a dumb plate. im happy with 3 letters and numbers.

Yeah, no kidding. The state gets enough money from at registration time already. I don't have anything I want to say badly enough to the rest of the world that I'm willing to pay extra for it.

A couple of years ago our Licence plates went something like this...

T643 GCV

In 1996 the first letter was a P

One guy got away with having

P155 OFF

Man, in England you guys get screwed since you need numbers on your tags. In America, we can make it say anything within a seven-character limit (eight in a few states).

How about a plate that reads like this:

PEN15

It exists, i've seen it on a pink Rolls Royce. Used to park up next to the old town hall in Hanwell near West Ealing.

I've since heard it's gone to something else.
