I hate Avril Lavigne.

It is with a heavy heart that I am forced to express the feelings that I have for this girl. Because I know that these emotions are poorly served by the simple words I must use. It is not enough for me to say that I hate her. I have used this same word to describe my relationship with Ford Escort's, school and the kind of apple sauce with bits in it.
So, to use it to describe the immense repulsion and disgust that she elicits in me seems wrong. However, because I'm merely a Super Moderating Penny-Arcade piracist and not a writer I have no other words available to me at this time. So I will use it under the condition that anyone reading this knows that the word hate is a mere shadow of what I really think of her.
That no matter how awful it might be, it is still only a shadow. The feeling itself, that which casts the shadow is more rotten and tasteless than you can possibly imagine. With that said, I feel it's safe to continue.

I hate you Avril Lavigne.

I utterly fail to understand your hatred even at the weak level in which you were able to portray it. There are many many people, even within the subset of musicians - even withing the further subset of corporate pop musicians - who on their best days are far more worthy of hatred.

She's got two qualities that redeem her utterly as far as I'm concerned: she knows which end of a guitar to hold, and she doesn't have any synchronized dancing. That alone should be enough, Chris.

I think you misunderstood StreetRacer. Had he said,"Damn Canadian...." then he would have been using "Canadian" in a derogatory manner - and thusly implying that all Canadians are somehow lesser people. Calling her a "damn Canadian wanna-be punk ass" refers to Avril specifically. The fact that she is Canadian is merely tangential at that point.
