and do to health reasons, other interests, time, and being unable to pull together consistant laps near the top times, often being a second slower, I am leaving the team to allow another in who will better strengthen the team. Just trying to improve causes me great stress, so I think it best not to worsen the matter.

Just take a brake from it, play some FFX or some old school Destruction Derby....

Take a deep breath, light some aroma therepy candles...

Take a long bath and soak the muscles...

Do a thoughtful act of kindness for someone...

Just remember, you were fast enough to make the team! That's better than 4,500 other members here.

I'm just getting too upset.

Oh man - I can relate to that.

On the 787B part of the GTP Team trials, on the last lap of what would have been my best run, I spun coming out of the second last corner (the little right hander).

I've been playing the GT series since 1998, and completed GT, GT2, and I'm at 93% of GT3. I have never spun at that corner before. Ever.

So, of course, I had a ten minute temper tantrum. This involved jumping up and down, flinging my arms and screaming - god knows what the neighbours made of it.

Now, if I'm angry, I just grab out GTA3 and go on a killing spree (nothing like a rocket laucher up the main street).

I can relate to that. Except for me I wouldn't throw a temper tantrum, I would throw a ten minute swearing spree. You wouldn't believe some of the words that come out of my mouth. Some I never even heard of.

I love a good swear (geez, I'm Australian for crying out loud) but there's nothing like a good tanty (tantrum) where you jump around and chuck stuff - relieves a lot of pressure.

I think I may have an ulcer.

What upsets me is that no matter when I time it, I cannot seem to get the extra speed others must get. I'm pushing it at Laguna and I am going wide with the speed, and I go and see that others are 1.2 seconds faster. I just can't stand trying to get those times, and I'm still suspicious of the claim that there is no differance between the US and British version of the game, and that the timing is the same disproves nothing, I think the British version just handles better. But that is only my opinion.

Could be - there's so many variables in the conversion (like miles to km, potential for distance shortening, etc) you just don't know.

Fortunately I've never been fast so it's less frustrating.

I hear that. I have those every now and then. Definietly relieves some pressure.

Hey, Talentless and ZeroCool85 are retiring at the same time!

This must mean they're the same person!

It must be - I've never seen them in the same room together!

No - you're supposed to go along with it, thereby validating my cheap joke.

:P

Yeah I realized that I was suppose to go along with it last night after i posted that :P

I had this really cool, big, long responce to this thread, then I installed software that rebooted my computer before I clicked Submit.

Essecially -- Yeah I get this way too. I don't throw tantrums like I used to, due to my increased Jedi Powers, but I still let out a good "WHAT THE ****!?!" occationally. Unfortunately the last time that happened was at 2AM.

Being a follower of the preacher Ben Folds I find myself enjoying his music. I just purchased the two albums I hadn't picked up yet and realized this particular song fits the mood:

My anonymous FTP server
Ben Folds - Rockin' The Suburbs

{ftp to 24.144.14.17.18 on port 42 as user 'anonymous'}

(Please refrain from downloading everything I have ... and also note that these are all full albums because I OWN THEM and so should you)

It's just good tunes is all.
