I was debating on going to the USGP for a 2nd time, until i watched the Monaco Gp. This was the best race in a while and rushed to my computer and planned my trip. Its nice to see some actual racing instead of follow the leader and i hope it will stay this way the rest of the season. its also cool to see a couple of drivers duke it out for their first victory which makes the race much more memorable.

Anyone care to take me to a race? US or Silverstone are fine with me.

Neither will be as interesting as Monaco unless we have similar scenarios to last year that made them both so excellent.

I will possibly be going to the USGP for a third time also. It's probably going to be my graduation present from my parents. If possible I want tickets for the new terraces in turns 10 and 6. That would probably yield some nice race photography.

It beats watching it on television, but you miss out on the commentary. But then again, hearing and seeing those cars scream by at 15,000+ RPMs is worth the price of admission alone.

I'm jealous of those who are actually getting to go to a race this year. I really kinda have wanted to go to the USGP, but I just don't think there is really any way I can go to the race this year. But for those of you who are going, take pictures!

I intend to if I do. I took over 100 last year(link found in my signature to the gallery here on GTP) and got several fantastic shots out of them. My favorite is probably the Viper or the Porsche Supercup cars going into turn 4.

my seats are actually in turn 6. last time i sat in the tower terrace right next to the podium which was cool but i saw the new seats and decided to get those. the sound of the cars is amazing especially the odd sound when the traction control kicks in through the turns.

My GT3 i.Link club is going on our annual USGP field trip. The infield rocks. We've got seats in case it rains, but sometimes the infield is the place to be.

Got tickets to the French GP this year. I think we got Grandstand tickets at the Adelaide hairpin which should be good :D. Taking a very long weekend out.

Well, We've order our tickets for the USGP this year. We're sitting in the Turn 6 Terrace just as I thought we would. It's a temporary grandstand but I'll hopefully get some great shots.

im in the same stand in Row K i think. we should be able to see most of turns 1-7 which will be great for pictures/videos. although it was cool when i sat next to the podium and watched all the crazy Columbians cheering for JPM

Hearing of all these people going to GPs this year is making me very jealous. I guess whoever is going though, make sure you take pictures; I want to see them.

Just a few more days til the race. i just checked the forecast and it might rain on Saturday. which would make qualifying interesting. If they qualify on rain tires do they have to start on those tires even if its dry?

I'm gearing up for the race, too, Kermit! I'll be leaving sometime tomorrow so I can be there for the Pit Walkabout on Thursday morning. Are you going to that?

Be sure and say "hi" if any of you see me - I'll be the one wearing the GTP t-shirt. :D

i wish i could go but i have to work. im flying out friday night so i can see all the action on saturday. where are you sitting? im in the new turn 6 terrace so i will look for you.

I'm going to the Pit walkabout also... I'll be sure to look for you. I'll probably be wearing all Ferrari gear(like many others) since I don't have any Renault Gear. Maybe I'll wear a sticker that says my username on it.

If you make that sticker, it ought to get some odd faces from people wondering what in the world it means. Are you going to take pictures at the walkabout? The walkabout would be so sweet to go to.

Of course, I intend to take pictures. I have one roll of 400 speed APS film i need to use and 8 more rolls of 800 speed film for a 35mm camera for Qualifying and the race.

Yep, Thursday is going to be a great day provided it doesn't rain and I don't get lost driving through Indianapolis to the track. I've never driven on I-465(It's the bypass around the city) but I have an idea where I am going because I've planned my route and ridden with someone else the two previous years I've gone.

Everyone that is going to the race, have fun and take lots of pictures. Also, tell us about the race, like your experience, the sounds, etc. Now that I think about it, this is going to be a busy weekend of sports with the USGP and the US Open.

I'm sitting in section J7, on the front row, right at the first turn. For qualifying I will probably be sitting in your turn 6 terrace, if not I'll be around turns 8, 9, and 10, probably on those new grand stands if I can find a seat. :scared:

Sounds good! I'm really looking forward to the walkabout...it should be pretty cool and should provide for some great pictures. :D

Reserved seats are only for the race. you can walk throughout the track and watch wherever you like. The track is huge and its a lot of walking. For those of you lucky people going to the walkabout you should check out USGPINDY.COM it has the schedule of events for that day.

to the guy that bought the US GP tickets: I hate you :D. lol, i wouldve went to the Aus GP if it wasnt for my dad having an "important business meeting in WA". Pffft, wat could be more important than seeing the Aus GP?! (and dont say something smart ass like "seeing the US GP"!!!)

Thanks for pointing that out! I didn't know there was free parking in the infield of the track. I may try to park in the infield now instead of Lot 2.
