I won't be playing GT Sport till Christmas night with it being a Christmas gift but from what i have seen so far not just when the game launched but now a new update along with a bigger update coming next month. The feel to play this game is getting more and more intense just for the wait closer i am getting to Christmas and turning on the PS4 and popping in GT Sport. When you see me race on track, my PSN id is RacingChamp30. Just lower case here on GT planet but the R and C in capital letters on PSN account. I am a clean racer and part of Snail racing online league.
I love it too, can't wait to finish work and get home to it for a couple of hours.Sorry, I get tired of a lot of the negativity around here and felt it necessary to point out that this game exceeded all my expectations except with regard to the track list. So just to counter all the nonsense threads (because in amongst the valid and constructive criticisms there is a LOT of whiny baby bull mess) I decided to point out how happy I am with the game and (most surprisingly) the recent communication from PD.
Feel free to disagree, but also feel free to discuss the shortcomings of the game (in your eyes) in another thread. There are plenty catering to that cause.
I strongly suggest installing the game and setting off the downloading of the updates before going to bed Christmas eve at the latest.
I third this. Game install is 70gb without Decembers update. And could be a lot of people trying to download that update from the server on xmas day....Agree with this completely - don't play the game, of course, but get the downloads happening as they are pretty big.

I personally do feel an aching emptiness when I think of GT Sport due to omission of certain cars and tracks. But overall, I agree with you Orange Cat, that that the game is pretty good and any additions from this point forward will be gravy.Sorry, I get tired of a lot of the negativity around here and felt it necessary to point out that this game exceeded all my expectations except with regard to the track list. I think that the update will happen few days before Christmas. On Christmas day, every year, there is a looooooot of people connecting to their PS4 (PSN, online). It's not a good idea if PDi decides to deliver this update on 25th![]()
Do a Custom race, drive a N100 car versus GR.4 cars, and we will see if you still find that AI is slowPicked it up in the black friday sales. Played last night for 4 and a half hours solid. It must of been goodAlso 95% of that was racing rather than being stuck in menus trying to fix ffb or camera fovs.
One big issue was AI though...im an average racer and went to Suzuka started from the back in a 10 lap race and ended up winning the race by 42 seconds on the highest difficulty. AI is so sloooooooow
What makes you think they don't?
Really enjoying the game even if I didn't win any online race (about 100 races, 0 victory). Now I'm C DR and S SR, so I think I'll never win a race, but it's not a problem. Fights in mid-pack are great!
Having hundreds of simulators and want the same circuits, I can not stop laughing with thatI won't lie, when I saw the fantasy track list I was really disappointed. I didn't even buy the game for the first month, that's how much it bothered me that weren't a lot of real track locations.
Then I finally decide to actually buy this game, I thought if PD finally had the balls to change the format of Gran Turismo, then I have to buy it and support them. Concentrating on human multiplayer racing is a big step forward for this series, and to be honest I was bored of the same old format that all car games almost followed. Buy a car, upgrade it, tune it and beat the opponent AI in non upgraded cars. Snooze fest.
So I pop in GT Sport and the game is just gorgeous. The cars, the racing and the fantasy tracks. I absolutely love the fantasy track....I think they look fantastic and can't wait to hopefully see more. I hop into GT Sport and spend a lot of time qualifying on Kyoto Driving Park - Miyabi. I bust out lap after lap and come out with a great qualifying time. I basically started 1st in the 5 races I did that day and won 3 of them. I was hooked.
The racing I find is clean out front, but people in the back really play bumper cars. Those players rarely have a chance to win so I think they will soon realize they will have to qualify and race better, or just stop playing the game. Either way it's a win for all of us clean racers. The other thing I love, take a look around the pit when you're in warmup. The attention to detail is fantastic and looks amazing. By far my favorite car game I've played on console or PC. To me it's what this series needed. They incorporated the driver rating and safety rating which is what is making this game a absolute joy to drive. To me it's a better looking iracing and am loving every second.
The game to me looks absolutely gorgeous in 1080p on my PS4 Pro...I do have a 4K TV arriving this week so I'm interested to see it on that this week.
I am in another group: Me and my girlfriend traveling the world in the white Jaguar F-Type through the Scapes...(with music, café and so on...).I think what's interesting is I have a bunch of friends interested in online play, another lot who just time trial and drive for the fun if it, and another group focused on liveries. Now there's also a fourth group who picked it up in the sales and play it on an ultra casual level.
Only GT can do that for the sim genre on PS4.
