I miss the New York track from GT4

It was a great track, aside from the first two turns (imagine them in a Sport Mode race) which I always felt were a little awkward.

Unfortunately, from a racing perspective, a modern iteration of the circuit would require some artistic liberties due to the fact that Broadway is now partially a pedestrian plaza.

I liked the New York track, but haven't played it for many years.

Street tracks have to be adjusted in real life, moving street furniture, lampposts, traffic islands etc, for races to happen, so I don't see how part of a route being pedestrianised to be a problem, unless they have physically blocked the road with a wall in real life. Having a change in surface from tarmac to paving/brick could even add to the game if done right, especially if wet. ;) If they are letting you put virtual cars in Venice when it is almost impossible to do in some of the locations they have, I don't think realism may be high up their list. ;)

One of my favourites was the Rome track. I think part of that route may now be pedestrianised on the Via dei Fori Imperiali run up to the Colosseum. :(

I was never that keen on the London track, as it was too tight and confined, and not a very interesting route imho. Some other games have had some very good London tracks. The Rome track took in the main sights and raced around the Forum, the London track was a waste of a lot of interesting eye catching opportunities.

The New York track was great. I think all the street circuits were good, I remember Rome, Paris and Madrid as well.

The problem I found with NYC and Madrid is the curse of many a street circuit (real or virtual) which is some rather tight hairpins. I was always a bit hit and miss with them. As someone above said, think of that in an online race! Though I really miss the earlier Rome circuit from GT3, which was much better than the later GT5 variant.

Yeah I def miss the New York track. I was a big fan of the Seoul track too. I really enjoyed racing on that one as well. Good grief PD just port every GT4 track over and GTS would be the greatest game ever! :)

I thought it was forgettable. Better than Madrid, London and Citta Diarrhoea but that isn't saying much. If you want a flat street circuit then you can't go past Adelaide, in my opinion.

Never played it, but it looks great. I would love to see more city tracks tbh. I know they are a bit controversial due to their unforgiving nature and occasional online carnage. But there's some great races to be had when everything works on these tracks.

I would personally love to see Macau in GTS in the future. It's such an interesting looking track with some really cool sections:

This. Seul Central and tokyo R246

I had to Google search that New York track. I remember it now.. So many good tracks in GT4. I think I might have to dig the PS2 out of mothballs.

The street circuit I miss the most is Seattle.

While I agree that the Macau circuit is very interesting to drive, I think it would be a terrible track for GTS.
It's far to narrow for two thirds of the track and has a plethora of sharp turns which would be a right pain in the arse considering we have too many players online who seem to think it's perfectly acceptable to use other people's cars as brakes.
Maybe it could work if there is eventually a way of racing online without being put in the same lobby as the drivers described

I never liked it, no significant elevation changes, all corners are 90 degree bends with a 3/4 circle, pit stop entrance was a mess and the track was very short overall.

Rome Night in GT2 was awesome. Using the Alfa DTM around there was the perfect match. A NY circuit would be a fantastic spectacle for night racing. That and they could probably do the Formula E Brooklyn Circuit. This way, players get to see the NY skyline.

No track will save you from bad behaviour so I don't think these kind of drivers should dictate what content we get or not. But of course there are better alternatives than Macau, with the frequency of dangerous situations in mind. However, I believe that a track should first and foremost be included based on how interesting it is to compete on and how relevant it is to the sport that you are trying to recreate.

The great thing about the layout is that the roads for it still exist, unlike Seattle where most of roads have either been demolished or dramatically altered. I never disliked the New York track, even with the 90 degree turns. The location was unlike anything else in GT4, and it didn't really feel like a stop-start sort of track to me. The two long straights allowed for a somewhat decent flow to the track.

Beautiful track, though I skipped GT4 (GT5/GT6) but in GT4 prologue, it was much entertaining track to race. It must show up again, but I hardly doubt it will.

I would like to see you in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, in Copacabana. It would be great to see some brazilian girls wearing bikinis.

Serious. Rio de Janeiro is beauty.

OutRun like.
