Hello, is a question I have some time ... I always practice the times with view of the complete car, power steering and Force feedback in position 1.
I am told that with the view asphalt can be seen more curves and is better than the full view of the car, and the Force feedback (3-8 position) setting more noticeable movements of the car and that's better for time trials.
I would like to know as you have configured you... and that views you use?Thank you.
Sorry for my spelling in English, not is whether it is correct.

I will let someone else comment on the force feedback settings. I will comment on the camera view.

I prefer the bumper camera view, which has the rearview mirror in the middle. That is my preference, though, and I do not expect everyone else to share this preference.

I will not tell you what to use because it has to do with how you see depth in the game. For some people, it is easier to judge distance when they can see the full car. For other people, it is better for them to see the front of the car only. For me, I prefer to have nothing in the way of my view.

In my opinion, it is about what really feels right to you, not about how I like it, or how other people do it.

Basically your practice laps are about figuring out the best line and the best speeds to take that line at. If you know where you need to be, then adjust your speed accordingly to be there.

If it helps you to figure out how to best take the turns, watch your replays. Try watching them from all of the camera angles and see if you're misjudging your turns. If it looks good, then just figure out how to do it all smoothly on each lap.

If one of the camera angles looks better to you, try it out, maybe it will work better for you.

As for adjusting the FF, I'll let someone with a little more experience handle that one.

I know this is long, but I wanted to explain properly. I hope that it will help you.

Welcome to GTPlanet.

I understand perfectly, but there are people that started with the full view and then changed to another camera and gone better, I todabia I can not get used.
but I think the view from below gives more feeling ...thanks!!

I have my FFB set to 8, Power Steering off, on my DFGT, I find it really does feel like driving a real car on the limit. As to speed I'll let others who are a lot faster than me comment.

I started off with the bonnet view then switched to the chasecam (back-view/behind the car), because I was not happy with some of the bonnets on some cars. I can't remember any from the top of my head but some cars have a long bonnet (which I liked) and others have really short bonnets (which I disliked. About 8 months ago, after a long break from GT5, I switched to the bumper view (the dial view) and I find this view the best for me.
Also, some of the very fast guys use bumper view so it might not be a bad idea trying it out for a month or so, if you don't like it then pick one that your happy with.

For force feedback settings, I use 3 with power assist on, because I prefer to have a lighter wheel. It's all about personal preference. If your not happy with you're current settings try switching them up mate. Good luck.

Like most people, I use bumper cam... but others use different views and are very fast... we learned recently that Banditkarter uses chase cam for example.

Force feedback is an interesting one... I've used 10 on my G27 for almost all GT5 (Rallys and X1 exluded), but have recently started using a lower setting and found it quicker for me... currently using 5 and able to make much smaller and more accurate steering corrections as a result.

I used to use chase cam all the time . Now that Ive been trying the TT's found it faster for me to use the roof cam , just cant get comfortable with the bumper cam , Ive tried and tried it ...

It takes an open mind to try something new .. I was very reluctant to change but glad I did .. Good Luck !!
