I want to go to China.

Carl.

Amazing indeed. But, while a China trip surely is awsome, those photos show rare moments combined with specific daytime, season etc in the nicest regions.
That's often the case with beautiful pics, but what I want to say is, that on the one hand you can think of photos of similar beauty of many locations around the world if you chose location/season/daytime etc carefully and on the other hand you could visit those areas on your photos on a rainy or cloudy day or you simple go the the next not-so-nice village/valley etc and your impression is by far less impressive.
But I stop talking now, the photos are stunning and that counts.

Thanks ITR, cool pics. 👍

Max, I agree, there's countless short missed opportunities like this, even just while on my way to work where I wished I had my camera with me.

Unless there's very dense fog hiding the scenery, I really think I'd enjoy going there. I find that rather unique landscape (though some areas in Viet-Nam look similar) fascinating.

Image the stillness. I could just sit there for a whole day, just thinking trough life. That decides it. I'm going to be a buddhist.

Carl's pic is pretty exotic, but I can't stop thinking about food when I see that picture(I haven't eaten today). :D

Now these two pictures are nice. When I think of beautiful scenery from China, it's their rivers that runs between those steep, steep mountains.

Those are some nice pictures, but I sure wouldn't want to go to China! These pictures are almost planned. Specific settings, etc. I am sure a photographer could pull off the same thing in the US. You just need to be in the right place at the right time. For example, you could take a picture of the Teton's all purple, in the winter. It would look awesome!

I've been to Vietnam, when the scenery is every bit as impressive. I had an exellent time there, when my family went for 3 weeks 8 years ago. That would have made me 9 at the time, so you can imagine the excitement and imagination that a little boy would have in that sort of environment.

I've seen pretty much identical shots in person. It is every bit as spectacular. The rolling layers of rice patties, the beautiful mountains in the North (we stayed up in the hills for about 5 days), drinking tea with the locals, visiting all of the pagodas and temples, the beautiful islands (Ha Long bay, absolutely stunning). It was absolutely amazing.
