When is a good time to RACE! (Australian EST)

To be honest, I don't think that three teams will be enough to run a series; we need to promote this more or we'll have no series at all (it won't be worth racing).

I've been thinking the same thing. We need drivers.

All I can think of is putting this series on my sig which I'm going to do now.

Just get some (constructive, not off topic) discussion going, that way the thread stays on the first page and people looking to join can see that they aren't just going to join a series that'll sink without a trace.

.

Well, speaking of which, should Subaru get an extra 10 kg, you did say it was easier to drive?

Subaru is easier to drive yes, but in my testing at Bathurst there was about .3 in it in favour of the Evo. Basically the Evo monsters the Scooby on the straights, but the Subaru is much more agile in the corners.

Hence why I picked Evo, after the GT-R in G-GT and all.

I think on twistier tracks the Subaru will be faster, on anything with a decent straight or two the Evo will pull it back.

I do recall racing in Tokyo once and the Evo was a bit tricky to get around the corners.

I'm scared of over doing it and ruining my car :scared:.

Copy your current tune to a different tuning sheet and tweak that one, then if you ruin it and can't remember how to get back you've still got your original on tuning sheet A. 👍

I'm scared that I might have to pull the plug on this series due to a lack of entrants :(.

Guess, we'll have to wait and see.

We have insufficient people to start a race series like this, so we should put this on hold until further notice. :(

Well, creating a racing series and basing it on Australian time zones is a little like opening an ice cream van on the South Pole. Don't expect too much succes

Just kidding! I do, though, think the timing is where the main problem is. No way in heck someone can get up before 3PM on a Saturday.

I applaud you for being perhaps the only host actually making reasonable-ish times for everyone. It's about midday/afternoon in Europe (works for most, including me, some 50% of the time :) ), evening in Asia and, although a bit late, not at a completely impossible time zone for parts of the US (IIRC the east coast is 4 hours "ahead" of west Australia), particularly taking into account that it's a weekend-based series.
