While it doesn't bother me exactly, it is pretty pathetic seeing an insecure man having a mid-life crisis in public with such little self-respect, dignity and self-awareness.

Between this and his outlandish announcements it's pretty clear he just craves attention and that's pretty sad, Soulja Boy's entire career is/was based entirely on making people like him while Ian Bell's is (possibly soon-to-be was) based on making people like his games. That doesn't mean I think he should be invisible, but there's a respectful way to present yourself, no one expects Soulja Boy to behave that way because that's the persona he's created, meanwhile Ian Bell is running a company that employs people and should present himself accordingly. People who go around posting photos of cash, boasting about yachts and manufacturing beef with whatever Soulja Boy is don't tend to be wise, thoughtful, respectful and respected people who are dedicated to their work and the people who work for them. For this reason if I'd known nothing about him before this, this episode he's having would make me question his character.

However, I've been aware of him and the way he conducts himself for a while so I have no faith in him to lose, hence why this doesn't bother me.

I don’t see how bringing out this strawman deflects people’s feelings in the issue. Ian is having fun - sure - but this is a games discussion forum so surely you can see other people’s viewpoints on the validility of the current MadCube claims?

He can be a show off all he wants with lack of humility and brags all he wants, but he makes people talk about his "console". He may not be a likeable guy but if his console will be a success, people will buy it no matter what kind of person he is. I will get one, that is for sure. Even more, if it not only has VR but also triple monitor setup features.

Or even better, @IanBell should develop his own bezel free multi monitor-monitor which can show a full mathematical correct 210° FOV with build in head tracking and true stereoscopic 3D without having to use shutter glasses or anaglyph 3D glasses. No need for VR HMDs anymore.
Put two screen technology in one monitor slightly offset from each other to create a true 3D glasses-free stereoscopic 3D image. Or make a full mathematical correct 210° FOV kind of holographic monitor.
