My PS3 is port forwarded along with the router I have proper NAT Type 2
Very Strange what happened last night though to be honest...

I just missed it, i got held up at work :nervous:

Joe in the future try to see if you can notify us if your going to make it or not .

It would have been a classic race , I am a bit upset we are getting rid of the weather but I'm happy too , its a catch 22 .

Once it started raining in qualy I went on the soft tire , from my testing at Spa this week I knew there was a chance it was a short rain shower and indeed it was .

Got the pole and was really making those soft tires last in the cooler conditions , I'd usually get 5 laps out the soft and I got 7 in the race last night and if I didn't have that super crash with NetherDragon that pushed me back down the grid I'm sure I would have got 8 laps out of the soft , that's pretty impressive and shows that the weather change does affect tire wear .

I made my way back to 3rd and was catching Arkano before the disconnect , I just remember seeing ProPersian and Falcon catching me up in my mirror and then I saw both of them drive in the kitty litter then bam disconnect .

Spa is a real awesome track but I advise all the drivers next race to use there discretion and judgement wisely when making overtake attempts , there were some crazy attempts in the first lap , that's how propersian got ran off the road on lap 1.

See you all Saturday again and at practices mid week ofcourse

Its an internet game as Erik said , these things will happen , I don't think its anyones fault . Having an issue in 1 out of 6 races isn't bad at all , fingers crossed that we don't have this issue for the rest of the season .

It was crazy seeing those 2 yellowhats dominating the 1 , 2 positions , I felt bad for netherdragons spin out but then flying down kemmel straight and seeing him roll across the road I didn't know where to go left or right , I went right and bam instant super damage , next time ill go left or just stomp the brakes , it was a good learning experience , so glad we get to run this race over in a sense .

First of all, it's against the rule to swap tyres during the qualify, it's why we check what people enter the track on.
Second. You didn't start on soft, you started on what you entered the track on in the first place so if that was medium 7 laps would be much closer to normal.
Good thing for you the race got postponed I guess, because if I heard maxitsu said you entered the track on medium and I saw you start on "soft" (as the game replay will show soft even if they aren't) you would have met the first disqualification ICGTC have given.
And checking this was your idea mate, how do you think this was allowed then?

If I misunderstand what you meant by swapping when the rain started and you entered the track on soft I'm sorry for bringing this up. But it wasn't raining when qualify started.

it was a good race in those 12 laps though.. i had a weird crash at the end of the straight... don't know if someone was pushing the back of my car or whatever it was.. anyway next 2 rounds were great was coming back and saw troy lee spinning on the top of the hill on the straight erik just managed to get pass him without hitting him.. & i crashed fully on to his side & got me full damage when maxitsu i think crashed in my back right after launching me from 50 km to 310 in just 2 seconds

but had a great comeback hope we have a good race next week!

I did't hit you at all, i was second last. When you rejoined the track it was just infront of me. I only hit Troylee at full speed who left behind at the straight, he crawled to the side of the track. but it was to late to me to avoid, i choose the wrong side to avoid him, but everything went so fast.

Edit: I saw alot of people cutting Au rouge, going wide in that long left corner and that left kink (second last corner). I did that to the first lap, but some people does that every or almost every lap.

u sure?? because i hit troy lee & almost fully stopped & someone hit me in my back & i literally flew to 300+km almost overtaking the guy in front of me who was erik & didn't crash on him i think

The Netherdragon Skendg incident was a major heart in my mouth moment. Before the disconnection Skendigi went off and then I was smacked very hard off at the next corner, then again in the gravel trap...

My mistake when I said swapped I just meant pitting for a new set , with the rain falling the tires seem to take longer to heat up and made them last longer than usual ( 1 extra lap in my opinion ) and this helped me get about half a second in each flying lap attempt . I think I ran a 1 11 5xx for pole when my best in free run with low fuel was 1 11 9xx .

I could be just assuming all of this but I do think the cooler temperatures actually relate to / affect the tire wear in the game .

Ofcourse I'm aware of the rule Erik , I always post ' remember you qualify and start on the same set of tires ' and don't worry no need to apologize you were just clarifying something .

Wish we could just re run the race tonight to be honest :) 1 weeks wait is so long :(

It's not only you, it is possible to make the tyres last longer when the tarmac is wet or colder. I could make my tyres last much longer at our first stint, but I went off and ended up in the gravel. So I needed to push harder to re gain what I lost so I went back to my 7 lap pr stint tactic.

Yeh this extra week of practice I will use to figure out the parts of the track where I can save tires , if the track didn't start to warm up I could of definetely pulled off a 2 stop .

So next week no weather change means hot track all the time , back to a 3 - 4 stop .

And that maintenance means no gt5 for me today .

Immortal must be upset he was running away with the race even though Arkano who I picked to be the winner. Was catching him .

yea i agree its just too long

Hopefully with this extra week of practise I'll be able to get sub 2:13.006. I kept getting 13 flats and 13:1's for hours before qualy, I just could not hit 2:12.xxx for the life of me.

Are you talking about the first time you got off track in corner 3 (after the straight) or on the straight after Au rouge?

From what I understand, you experienced a lot of lags yesterday. Don't know if you tested it, but we must test if the same problem exists for suzuka because of some latest update and GT5 maintenance. I will be really sorry to drop out the rain, so we may just drop it for spa.

I think it might just be dropped for Spa only , we only have a few rain races it would be nice to keep them all .

Teamspeak server updated to the latest version.

I also changed the router settings, so if anyone could just try join in and say hello (just to make sure it works) would be awesome.

EDIT: Thanks anastasis, it works. Hard to test it when all my computers are behind the same firewall ;)

Mine best on soft is 11 7 i think or 12 7 i don't remember. on medium its 13.5.

But its not really my racepace.

@ all:

We will see how fast you can get in a week, I'm guessing I better not lose the draft!

When i was not so good, i also was counting for some draft, but it never worked well.

Also after the many updates, its much harder to follow other cars in the corners then before, even when i have the same speed, i find it hard to stay under the rear wing of the car in front, It makes it hard to pass. Sometimes bacaus you don't get close enough before the straight begins. I had it in Tokyo trying to pass Arkano, so i had to wait until he makes a small mistake. It could be becaus the slipstream is on "weak". Its still very strong on long straights, but you don't have that much advantage anymore on short straigths combined whit the loss in downforce.

I'm still up for practice and some small races this week , so if anyone is online anytime this week let me know.

Sounds good , would love to do some practice runs against a NSX .

Had a nice moment with Falcon in the race saturday drafted him pulled out for the overtake got in front for like 1 second then he pulled away . That race would have been special . I'm hoping the do over this week is gonna be better .

Keep it on track this time Netherdragon

I'm online now, doing some laps. I already adjusted my car for the dry. But still need tons of practice before i can go under 2:14's on medium tyres.

I can go 7 laps on soft now though, so maybe I use those this time around.
