ICGTC Season 3 FINISHED

Nurburgring GP, Its not on of my favorite tracks or my best. But previous season i learned how to drive here.
 
I'm a bit worried about this upcoming race , I won't get much practice and with all the extra weight I'm carrying I will need a good strategy.

Drivers who are practicing already please let me know some data .

How many laps is this race btw ?
 
Can't wait til Thursday so I can get internet and get on track .

Is it worth it practicing offline guys ? I've heard the physics is very different
 
They used to be but that was before you could have tyre/fuel depletion on off-line. I am not sure but it is worth a try.

Its good if you don't really know the track its worht doing so. But to really set-up your car i doubt it would be ok.
 
Race report from the stewards.

It's been a lot to look into this weekend with a great amount of racers on the track. And that's a good thing.

Things we investigated

Lap 1, corner 3 (chicane after the long straight) IMMORTALPILOT, Arkano and Skengdigi.
No further action, talked to both Arkano and Skengdigi about it and had to follow the rule about corner rights and at this incident Arkano had rights over Skengdigi.
Lap 1 Left corner after the hairpin ProPersian vs C-Falcon
No further action C-Falcon clearly have corner rights and ProPersian should have yielded.
Lap 1 long left hander. Aggressive move by Adam
No further action. Adam holds back after the incident letting both of the other involved go infront of him.

Last corner of lap1 Arkano cuts the bus stop chicane after he hits the grass during braking.
After looking at it several times I decided Arkano was lucky once again, he gain some on this, but are letting C-Falcon back in his slipstream witch he could have avoided if he had taken advantage of the situation. No further action
Lap 4 corner 3 ProPersian overtaking while cutting the corner to much.
It's allowed to use the entire curb, but the area behind the curb is not part of the track. ProPersian overtakes a car with all 4 wheels off the track 10 second penalty
Lap 5 corner 8 C-Falcon illegal pass on JoeTruck
Going wide and gain speed to overtake JoeTruck 10 Second penalty
Lap 18 Le Rouge (corner 2) C-Falcon gain a position by cutting the corner
10 second penalty for cutting the corner and passing ProPersian at the same time.
Lap 22 corner 3 ProPersian dives on Arkano
ProPersian know he did a mistake and let Arkano go. No further action

Corner cutting and/or going wide repeatedly
Anastasis, Adam, C-Falcon 10 second penalty on the once mention.
(I'm not going to calculate who gained most from this corner cutting, but we said on teamspeak before the race that it wasn't acceptable to go wide on the second to last corner, the long left hander or cutting le rouge.)

Total penalty
C-Falcon 30 Seconds
Adam 10 seconds + 10 Second from Suzuka (dangerous driving) = 20Second
Anastasis 10 seconds
ProPersian 10 seconds

Felt I had corner rights at Eau Rouge on Persian which I was the reason I went off.

I was ahead of joetruck before the corner and was forced off the track which I said at the time on teamspeak.

Nothing against the off track due to the fact I did run off too many times.
 
I'm not going to take a argument here so feel free to send me a private message.

I just state our case

Even if you feel you have corner rights there is no excuse to cut the track, and take advantage of it. It's a stupid and agressive move. And we all failed to see the point as if you stayed behind instead of forcing corner rights you did not control very well you would be able to pass ProPersian in his slipstream.

You are not infront of JoeTruck on my replay and JoeTruck have the corner rights, JoeTruck doesn't give a lot of room there but there is room if you would have went off the throttle instead of letting yourself go wide to remain speed enough to pass him before the chicane.

Great first half of the season. It needed some time & effort to get started but we did rock.
15 dedicated drivers, 5 diffrent winners out of 6 races, battles on the top of the leaderboards and at the back, overall it was all clean. offcourse we had our mistakes and discussions. But thats racing. Hope to see you all in part 2. PS: Let me win now :sly:


Trying to survive Nurburgring and indy(nsx-shootout) and looking forward to laguna Seca and the street courses Rome, Monaco & Madrid. :dunce:

I am very sorry for what happened the last two races with my connection, it's all my fault I got disconnected during our first try on Spa and before our second try.

I must admit I don't like saying this out load, but I hadn't rebooted my router after changes to it as it have a save settings button and my previous router restarted it self when I pressed that I didn't know I would have to go into another menu and reboot it.

So the router hang on me I guess, this is also why I though my provider had turned it off. They just said that it would take more than a few weeks of late payment to turn it off.

Good news is that I found the problem, was online for 3 hours yesterday without being booted off and I'm online now. So to everyone who I though was the problem. I'm sorry.
I also turned off something called DNS relay witch have been stated to make my dlink Dir-655 unstable. Everything is faster after that and I'm glad I had to investigate some. Because it works so much better now ;)

I'm online now if anyone would like to join me.

I was thinking you were the problem the last 2 weeks becaus you had DC'd the whole time + ghosting to others. But don't worry about it. We should thank you for the time & effort you spent to keep this league up & running 👍
 
Good you said that IMMORTAL, I forgot to add your weight in the OP.. done now though ;)..

I feel with you and the heavy car man, but you gained a lot of points also, thats the way it is ;)

To be honest, I didn't hear that one :crazy: I really didn't know if I should brake at the last corner or no. I did let the gas off when I was out of the track though. On the Eau Rouge were we able to get 2 wheels on the curb? I think I always had 2 wheels on the curb. In to the long left hander I think I got out of the red curb 2 or 3 times, which were caused by lack of practice and don't having a braking point.
 
Hey guys don't forget to tell me some of the medium times since I can't play til thursday , I tried offline today and ran a low 1 57 on medium .

Erik my weight for the next race is 1170 kg. Glad you got that internet problem fixed . I hope I don't have any issues with this new isp , got the modem today in the mail .

Maxi I think the time was a typo mistake by Erik , I'm sure he will check that out .

Can't wait to get back on track .
 
Hmm, nothing mentioned about the incident between me and Troylee that I mentioned on TS?
It was the incident where I was forced off track onto the grass on the Kemmel straight when attempting an overtake (don't remember which lap it was). Even though I didn't really lose much time (if any at all), it's still an illegal move to force someone off track correct? I suppose it could have been lag but I didn't notice any lag at that point. Other than that we had a good battle for a few laps.
Also for about 2 or 3 laps in a row when GrayFox was behind me I noticed him going wide on the run off at Blanchimont (don't know if he let off the power though to give up the time gained after going wide there).

I'm sorry, but I didn't hear that on teamspeak after the race. I will look into it if you check your replay and tell me what lap it happened in. I'm not going to watch you for a lot of laps to find it, I checked the replay a few times already.

If you see anyone doing something illegal during the race I would expect you (all) to report it. We don't do this because we are very happy about giving out penalties, but we do it because it is more fair to the guys not doing something illegal. Also to tell everyone the things he did isn't acceptable!

But if you do have something to report I would like if you checked the replay see if it actually is something to report and then tell the stewards what lap and where on the track. I would love for you to put in the total race time as I'm not really familiar with were Blanchimont is. I'm willing to learn, but it would suck if my learning progress will count when checking this out.

This goes to everyone. If everyone report, people might be more careful with doing things we do not accept. The goal is clean racing witch is fun for everyone.
 
Blanchimont is the fast left turn just before the bus stop chicane ;). I'm not really that bothered about the incident between me and Troylee as I didn't really lose anything from it, I was just wondering why nothing was mentioned about it but if you didn't see the message on TS it's ok. He might just have not noticed me there if he's using the bumper cam as you can't see your sides with that view anyway.

Fixed.

Personal best so far is 1:55.979 on Medium. 1:58.9 on Hard
