You couldn't get a Top Fuel dragster round the Ring.

You gotta think outside the box :)

Think of it like getting the Motor Wagen around the Ring: pointless, needlessly difficult, totally possible.
Maybe outside of the box you could :), but not as they are. They'd be running on empty before you got a fraction of the way round for one thing. Ofcourse, you could put more economical engines in them, but then it surely ceases to be a Top Fuel dragster after that.

I'd like to see someone attempt to turn a Top Fuel Dragster around Karussel.

Agreed with Dave on the fuel thing, they drink 12 litres a second at full throttle. They might be fun down the huge straight, useless for the rest of it.

Just a little more inspiration for you guys.

These are the final rounds in Super Gas, Super Stock, Super Comp, Comp and Stock Eliminator at the Las Vegas Nationals a couple of weekends ago.

How about some Nostalgia Drag Racing ? 44 seconds into the video, the infamous Stone,Woods and Cook 1940 Willys. You'll notice how the SWC Willys was about to get beat, until the red one crossed over the line, automatic DQ.Thats part of racing,it's not as easy as it seems.Just when you think you got it down, then ooops.

Oh, I have a way to get around it: Go around at less than full throttle...like, 1/10th throttle. Those cars have more than enough power to get going at a good pace with 1/10th throttle.

Yes, I will continue to refute naysayers who say that my quest would be impossible.

I don't want a drag racing mode. What's so much fun about it, where's the challenge? Reaction time? It's just fun to see IRL because it's bad for your hearing, haha.

You'll run out of fuel even if you don't give it throttle at all. You see, the gas tanks on these things only has enough room for fuel for a single run down the 1/4 mile. ;)

Maybe in GT Mode it'll be impossible.
Arcade Mode, however, there seems to be infinite fuel unless you run Arcade Mode with tire wear and fuel usage on. So, it could still happen.

Still a 12-15 gallon tank.

SecretAgent - There's also the issue with how bumpy the Nurb is. I think you'd probably struggle to get it in and out of the pits too.

You still reckon that 12-15 gallons of Nitromethane would last 8-9 miles going REAL slow? I doubt it would.

I doubt it as well.

Know why there are no staging duels in Top Fuel? Because the fuel will run out if they were sitting in pre stage... ;)

Top Fuels, Funny Cars, Top Alcohol Dragsters and Top Alcohol Funny Cars are out of question. They'll never make it to the GT series.

Stock Eliminator and Super Stock cars on the other hand is highly possible to include, or if we're given the modifications, build them on our own.

As I've mentioned earlier. Stock Eliminator cars are completely stock appearing, except for rollcage and drag slicks. The car has to weigh as much as it did from factory, the interior has to be stock, no plastic body panels allowed (unless the car came with them brand new), no plastic windows, no widening of wheel tubs allowed, the engine used must be correct for the car model and more, I think you get the idea.

This means all PD has to give us in order to do some stock eliminator racing is roll cage and drag slicks.
