If you could go to anywhere in the world, where would you go?

A tour of Italy would be great. Would also love to see the Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK.

I'd like to go to the Vatican

I've been there, it is stunning, and the scale of the buildings you cannot believe. If you do ever get the chance to go, I'd recommend climbing up the Cuppola. It's a hard climb, and you do need to be quite fit, with a pair of trainers, but it's well worth it when you get to the top and you can see over the whole of St. Peter's Square.

It's pretty cool to be able to visit 100% of a country in a day as well. If they did orchestral music concerts in the Basilica the acoustics would be unreal.

To live - the U.S., California, most likely L.A.
To visit - Japan, Shizuoka Prefecture, and see Mount Fuji.

For the moment I'd go to coastal/inland countries on arabian peninsula or northern arab africa - for taking zests in muslim culture. Or for once I'd love to travel to northern parts of the world as well, to gaze at the auroras at night. :D

Chernobyl.
You can go, they're doing tours now of Chernobyl and Pripyat :dunce:.

There are so many places I'd love to visit. The Andes, Europe, Japan... If money wasn't an issue I'd spend the rest of my life visiting places around the globe.

those places are permitted for entry accompanying with a local guide, wearing appropriate garbs without much exposure of skins in the air and a geiger counter measuring the amount of radiations in peripheral areas.

I'm increasingly becoming a travel freak, so my list of places I'd like to go gets bigger all the time - India, China, Tibet, Russia, Canada, plenty more of Europe, Scandinavia...

If I had to pick just one, Japan. Hopefully doable in the next few years.

To pick a place I've already been but would like to return to, the US. But I'm doing that in under a week, so...

Wow Japan is popular.

Although I seem to be the only one who would consider living there rather than it just being a holiday.

Yep. But the Geiger counter isn't necessary, as well as a gas mask or a protective exoskeleton. :D On the Chernobyl nuclear power station, people still even work.
Just do not get close to active radiation sources (trees, high shrubs, the amusement park in Pripyat, etc), stay away from uninhabited woodland areas, don't infiltrate the Zone illegally (it is patrolled by the police) and you'll be okay.

I have a friend who is crazy about this place and wants to take a trip to the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. I guess I'll make him a company. :sly:

Probably not right now, but if Arsenal F.C were playing I would go to the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal's home-ground in London.
I've been there several times before, but in my opinion nothing else comes close to seeing my team play on a perfect football pitch in a perfect football stadium on a Saturday afternoon 👍.

Picture here for anyone who hasn't seen it:

- I'd like to visit the fjords in Norway.
- Go for nature walks in Alaska or Canada.
- See the culture and nightlife in Japan.
- I'm sure there's alot more places I'd like to see (Hong Kong, Polynesia, Indonesia, ...)

If this includes safe transport to and from, I'd say the sea floor at Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench.

If this doesn't include safe transport to and from well... then I can do that now! I have the means to go anywhere in the world and I'm at my desk so, I guess the answer is "my desk".

If we're talking about a free trip somewhere, I'd say that'd be to Alaska during a solar storm.

Just thought. Polynesia can be added to my small list of places I want to go to on holiday.

Ooooo now let me see....
Japan, the culture fascinates me, watching The Wolverine also really made me want to visit Japan, those who have seen it might understand.
China, the history of the place alone is enough to make me want to go there.
North Korea, very unlikely I know, but who wouldn't want to see behind closed doors and see what really goes on.
America, particularly New York, Chicago, San Francisco and many other places.
A tour around Europe, Rome, Paris, Berlin, Helsinki, up to northern Scandinavia to see the northern lights, Krakow (I've been there before and absolutely loved it), Auschwitz etc.
Chile, for the scenery.
Nepal and Mount Everest.
Africa, nowhere in the continent in particular really.
New Zealand/Australia.

That's all I can think of for now, I haven't travelled much but I am only 21 years old, so there's plenty of time.

America, particularly New York, Chicago, San Francisco and many other places.

If you come to America and you care at all about nature, you should see Yellowstone or Yosemite national parks before New York, San Francisco and... waaay before Chicago.

Denmark, I really want to go there and I'm kicking myself for not doing it when I was in the UK for my study abroad semester.

In Copenhagen, or somewhere in Jutland? :D

I would actually like to add Svalbard and Antarctica to my "list". Nature in those places should be staggering and really extraordinary.

New York City is a waste of time. Upstate NY is where it's at 👍

New York, California, Chernobyl might be fun, Monaco, Machu Picchu, Tokyo, Germany (especially the 'ring), Iceland... :lol:

* Pompeii! Visit other Roman archaeological sites all over the former Roman empire

* Visit Greek archaeological sites.

* Visit Teotihuacán in Mexico.

* Visit Sumerian sites.

* Going on a quest to find the mythical Atlantis.

* Visit GTP members.

* Australia or New Zealand in winter time. => Skiing

A place that is between 20°C and 30°C all year long and lots of room for motorsports and nobody that minds it.

Wouldn't need much else.
