A rather sweeping statement given the international make-up of the forum. I'd not heard of this vehicle before this.

Who makes them - what are the specs?

No, the new integra has a V6 in it. And I am serious. Look aroundo n the net or read 'Car and Driver'
I dont care if it has a V6 or not. The car will NOT do anywhere near 200.

The GN or Grand National was a Buick (the equivalent of an Olds Cutlass or Chevy Monte Carlo, with a very hot turbo-charged V=6 in it. It was scary-fast. The same engine was used the the Chevy Cyclone, (a mini-Blazer with an attitude) and it would kick a Ferrari 348 to the curb in the quarter mile. For a Pic I would suggest checking for an enthusiast site on the net, such as The GNX registry.

The Grand National was the fastest production car (in the world) from 0-60 in 1986. It could do 0-60 in 3.9 seconds straight from the factory. Nothing could touch it in the day.
They had a speed limiter put on the cars from Gm at 140 mph which sucked.
Josh, the guy has had it since day one. Its pristine and he has the laptop for the turbo management system in his car. He has full control of everything in the engine management. ;)
He installed the huge turbo himself and is planning more.
Grand Nationals arent the best for handling, but with the kind of power it had, who cared. lol

Oh, Mistax, your wrong. lol
Misnblu
Hes running over 600 hp right now and with some slicks can do the 1/4 in 10 seconds or better. ;)
I think that speaks for itself. :D

See, most grand national owners are the purest of enthusiasts in their cars.
I havent seen one yet in ragged shape. Most owners just wont have it.
Streetracer, get it and kick some import butt. lol j/k
One thing about that car or any other grand national, they are no sleepers. EVERYBODY knows about them in the states and give them MAJOR respect.

Well if I do get this I'll be laughed at in my car club. But then when I race all of em. Well I'll be laughing at them.

BTW how loud is a Grand National. I want a loud ass car.

Dont let the shear volume of the car get to you. On the club thing, its not what they think, its what you think and if they do make fun, then they are not true enthusiasts and ,maybe shouldnt be having a club.
My club makes no fun of me when I show up in my beater Ford and know why I drive it. Its not always the car, its the person.
Just keep it real and dont abuse that awesome kind of power.
Youll also need to realize the National will require some major upkeep to keep in the state of tune its in.
Its not a Honda you know and requires a little knowledge of the car.
Anyway, good luck if you get it and please respect the car and the power of the beast. ;)

Im truly sorry to hear that man. Youve put in all that time and effort in your ride and then, bam, its over.
On the Hondas being cursed, my Honda Civic was the most reliable car Ive ever owned and only once broke down on me.
Its been crashed and fixed, dented and fixed and still kept on running, all the way to 285,000 miles on the orininal engine and only one clutch change. Now, hows that for a curse.   :D
Here is some eye candy for you Street Racer 780.
This could be YOURS.

Enjoy the Grand National. This one is from a friend and is running low 12's and soon to be 11's once he gets the turbo dialed in.
Good luck Streetracer780 and the best wishes to you in your future purchase.

AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!

that is BADASS!

Err I really like the car but I don;t think I have the kinda time or money to keep the bad boy up. I know I would be able to work on it no problem but the time and constant up keep doesn't thrill me. Also the insurence has got to be high

Well back to square one. I'll continue looking. Maybe an El Camino I like those. Or maybe for a new model Monte Carlo in Yellow or Black. The possiblitise are endless.

Lol, I beat those at the strip all the time.
There is an '83 El Camino that has a really nice sounding motor and I lined up against him.
He did an impressive burnout and the motor was sounding sweet while doing so.
I felt I would surely lose.
We staged and the tree turned green and we were off.
I could see him to my side through first and by second gear, he started to wane past my door. By third at my rear bumper and byt the time we reached the traps, he pulled a 15.7 and I pulled a 15.6. :D
They are easy to work on and great cars, but weigh almost 4 thousand pounds. Maybe with some good old hot rod techniques, you can get one to be pretty quick.
I saw your other post and dont wear out your shoes walking too much. ;) :)
Take your time to decide, youll have to live with it for awhile.

Ya thats why I think I might just take it easy for a while. Borrow the Pt Crusier (did I say that???) Any way I'd love a motor cycle, a Ducati or some rice bike. But its michigan and its vold 9 months outta the year.

Well I went down to talk to that guy about the GN to see if I could Jew him down on the price. Well he said its sold. I was like what? Siad some guy came up to him wrote a check and was off.

Oh well. I think I'm just gunna get a truck.

I like the one by Nissan. Fronteria I think its called.

For American any of the small ones, but I like the Dakota the best. I want a convertable Dakota there pretty cool. Or a newer one with a big V8 in it. If I get a new Dakota I'm going to lift it and go off roading.

Thats what I'm thinking of doing.

He had to sell it because he didn't have a job to pay for the insurance costs, and his parents refused to pay it anymore. I think that's right.

He got rear-ended...

But yeah, I don't think Hondas are cursed. The only reason I got into an accident with my Teg was...er....ah....an error in judgement, let's say. :ill:

I drive just fine. Maybe a little fast but nether the less I drive fine.
