Just won the V-dub Schwimmwagen at the Cape, as prescribed.

This is a tuffy. You must run practically flawless to get a chance at the win.

Once you catch the 800 he can still beat you, given its a much more powerful car.
Twice he outran me down the straitaway to the finish.
He tried to cut me off at the chicane on the next attempt, but after losing twice before and pulling over 1/2 a car length alongside, I wasn't backing off. He ended up in the grass.

Actually this VW amphib doesn't handle too bad.
Good challenge.
I think I'll pass on the Masochist Corner.

EDIT: I almost forgot, did the Tuscan race at the Cape too. Not as tuff as the one above, but still a good race.

Did the Alfa at Rome bone stock. This was a fun race. It may be doable with less tire but I haven't tried it.
Yall are working on it now I guess.

I won the #5 Seasonal event in Nürburgring GP/D with a Mercedes CLK Touring Car, straight from the online dealer. Racing hard tyres, no oil change, no settings changes made and i drove without any aids (including ABS). Won by 3 seconds. Does it qualify?

We have finished testing of all 5 races. Also, prerequisites formally known as "masochist challenge" have been renamed to Great Driver Challenges, with reason explained in the OP.

All challenges are in the first post, thank you in advance for your feedback and thanx for all who support our effort.

@Amar: 4. Alfa Romeo 8C / Rome Circuit: I won this with the stock car + oil change and Comfort Softs. Great race and recommended for a good test.

Awesome thread! Thank you for the hard work.
I hope you don't mind, I referenced your thread in another thread where people were discussing the change of restrictions on the seasonal events.

BTW, would you mind updating the 1st post with proper doable setup for the C30. I tried it before reading all the way through your thread. Noticed you guys don't think it is possible, unless I am reading wrong.

edit: nevermind just ran it again to see with the single tire upgrade as listed. Was only 4sec back. Will try again.

2nd edit: Just won by over 2 sec. If you hadn't made this thread, I am sure after the first run, I would have upgraded the car. Thank you for this. For anyone wondering, a 2:24 first lap followed by low 2:21's was plenty.
As a confirmation, this was done with sports hard tires, everything else stock. no oil change.

3rd edit..so as not to double post. Wow, just did the MiEV challenge. By far my least favorite challenge so far. Did not downgrade the tires, as it seems silly to spend money to do so for a "challenge." Big fail! Felt like a Sunday drive, the day after going to an extremely loud rock concert on the night before. Had to turn the volume off on my receiver.

Really liked the Rome challenge with the stock 8C... Very smooth!
Although for the event with the schwimmwagen, i did some more upgrades.. Was a little TOO slow to enjoy.

The rest of the challenges were also great thanks to you guys!
It's really cool to just pass the last competitor with a photo finish.

Thanks for posting these challenges. I have to admit that I upgrade tires and win the races to get the credits and XP before going back and then running them with the restrictions in place. With all those credits and XP sitting there, I don't want to take a chance of missing something that comes through the UCD and I didn't have enough credits to buy it becuase I had been spending days trying to win these events with artifically imposed restrictions. It keeps me sane doing it this way.

Due to worktime, nothing before evening (EU time) but thank you very much for the support 👍👍 :)

No problem ;) I completely understand... Have exams myself by the way, so no much GT for me this time.

We have tested all of them, but Corvette will be posted tommorow.

I will be posting 1-4 later because some tweaks should be tested for all of them 👍

Nice, will give one a shot this evening then when I get back from my exam Investment Analysis ! Looking forward to that !

My bet (before trying any) is:

Cappuccino: 70hp + Sport medium
MX5: 146hp + Sport medium
Skyline: Stock + Sport med
Ferrari: Stock + Sport soft
Corvette: 650 hp + Sport soft

Any success? :D

Partial ;)

Skyline is your only good guess. We left Comfort on both Cappucino and MX-5 (upgrade to Sports kills the challenge) and on both Ferrari and Corvette Sports Medium is the top-limit. However, testing with Sports Hard (default compound) will give results soon.

When tyre upgrades kill the challenge , what does power upgrades then?

btw power upgrades cost more then sports tyres :)

It is not about the cost itself, it is about challenge.

Immaculate Challenges are crafted in compliance with philosophy of the first 2 seasonal events, when restrictions were in place.

PLease refer to the initial post in this thread for the full explanation 👍

Also, regarding tires - they are most important upgrade of all IMO. Changing tires by one step (inside same compound) can do miracles for set-up, while upgrading for one step in compound (Comfort > Sports for instance) will basically change foundations of the challenge itself.

We try to keep with the default tires as much as we can, but we also try to keep the car as much in the stock condition (even without oil change).

Since ultimate goal in crafting every particular challenge is to create a restriction which will ultimately produce overtaking the race-leader in the very last seconds of the race - with prerequisites described in the first post - ways to achieve such goal are different.

I hope it explains our methods :)

Redid the Cappu Race with 86 HP and Comfort Meds , ended 2nd 1.5 secs behind.

btw The Stage 3 turbo messed the car up.

Why havent I seen this thread before?... Great idea. I havent had a chance to turn my PS3 on for a week. When I do I'll be doing the challenges with the settings listed here.

Man some of these are hard... or I am just not as good as I thought! :P

It's taking me over a dozen tries to gold some of these and that's not even the masocist/good driver ones!

I do kind of wish 1st place wasn't usually so far ahead of the pack... it's so gut wrenching to fly by 2nd with 2 laps to go and realize 1st isn't even on your mini map yet.

EDIT I am so stuck on the schwimwagen... even with 65hp I am 25 seconds off first and it seems I can't make time on the 4rd place guy at all... he just holds a steady lead....

The Cappuccino race is barely winnable with 98hp and comfort softs.

I would love to see a video of someone winning it with the suggested setup.

I forgot my suggestion, perhaps instead of just giving HP numbers, how about giving the proper upgrade, i.e. Sports exhaust, racing air filter, etc...
Thanks again.
