Sadly its not a real GTR.

Indeed it's probably just a GT-X with GT-R badges... Importing a real one is apparently somewhere along the lines of impossible.

Hated: RX-7 with Vette' swap. Worst waste of resources on the planet.

Why say this? You may not be a V8 fan but you cannot deny that it would be faster car because of this swap, in a straight line at least.
That bent 8 would have more power out of the box and a significant amount more torque throughout the rev range.

+Way better noise :P

For the money, a 4-rotor would be much more desireable. The Power would be better, the Weight is less, and the overall audio effect is pure bliss. Not to mention, it still would get better fuel mileage. :D

Its very rare for someone to swap out the rotary for a V8 over here, people over here buy an RX7 for the car and rotary. I wouldn't be suprised at all if there are more 20B RX7's than V8 RX7's in Australia.

Ok, I have to admit that a 26B would be better than a V8 in all the ways you mentioned, especially noise-wise.

The noise

Having heard that beast run a 10.4 in real life even a hard-out V8 fan would be hard pushed to say anything bad about the noise it makes. It sounds like a F1 car!

But fuel economy? I think not. More rotors = more fuel.
