Cloverleaf roadsters. It appears to be a style popular in the late teens/early ‘20s in which the two front seats are essentially buckets with a pass through between them to the rear bench seat. This 1918 Moon 6-45 'Cloverleaf' Roadster shows how they work.

These aren’t my cup of tea, but I can appreciate these cars from that trying era and mainly digging the color combos.
 
I have something for all you classic car lovers:
If you ever have the chance to go to france, the city Mulhouse in particular, take the time and visit the "Musée national de l'automobile"!
The cars in this collection are just breathtaking! I.e. they have an unbelievable collection of Bugattis.
