My knowledge of wheels is limited...

I can't figure out for the life of me what these are:

Make me learned.

Right, technically they're "copies" of the Nismo wheel, but then the Nismo didn't typically come in super low offsets because they were application specific.

Those are the real Bee Racing wheels.

Those look awesome.
(Don't think I can stuff 18*9.5 wheels under a DSM, though...)
Though M2 Hanbai DT-05R's look similar, have more sizes available (The Bee wheels appear to be discontinued), and are about $100/ea cheaper. Not that I can afford it now, either way.

Anyhow...

Just saw this bagged Golf. I think I'm going to have to buy a camera, my camera phone doesn't do justice on how awesome this was.

Ever since I moved to Orlando about a week ago I've seen some very nice cars. Seen two nice S14s, super clean EVOs and STIs, and then this. Right when I was about to take the picture a dude in another lowered, but not bagged, Golf stopped next to it, rolled down it's window and stared at it, as if taking notes.

Might not be bagged at that height. I buddy of mine has his so low on springs that the driveshafts have ground notches in the frame rails.

why not fit 17s? Its 17 by 10 i think fitted on that (255 tyres) has had 18s in the past but would have meant cutting the arches.

The Bee wheels appear to have been discontinued... NEW selection appears to be limited.

Ideally, I'd get a 17*8 wheel, somewhere in the 33-40mm offset.
Tires... 225/50-16 is current & already rubs the fender wells... but who cares, they're only plastic. I need to roll my front fenders, too. Some rub when turning hard.
245/45-17 would be ideal... Not sure it would fit without modification.

I'll probably just replace the tires on there now... Azenis are worn to about 1mm tread depth and will have to be replaced before they go back on the car... Probably either Bridgestone RE11, possibly Kumho XS, more Azenis, or Dunlop Star Specs.
I'll have to make up my mind in the next couple months and put some money in the car fund.

I'm hesitant to spend too much on the car this coming year... I yearn for an E30. I'll just do what I have to for now (Tires, possible re-do of the suspension as front KYB's are wrecked, and clutch that I already have parts for).

The M2 Hanbai wheels have thinner spokes that aren't as flat on the faces, but similar.

In any case, do you know where I could buy some M2 wheels? I've found one distributor in the US, and they want 300 a piece for them because they're "Mad JDM" despite the fact that they're actually really cheap wheels in Japan. Kind of like the MB/A-tech wheels everyone buys over here.

EDIT: Also, they aren't Rota GTRs and rather Rota P45r.

EDIT #2: It seems Rota called them the "GTR" across the pond, but something looks a bit different.

Rota P45r.

Not for less than that... I was seeing $225-275 USD, but it was a japanese site and shipping was going to be $380. Kinda negates any savings.

I figured it was the Rota P45f or P45r. Still looks pretty sharp.

As for the Z... Dunno if it's a repost or not. If I knew it was, I wouldn't have posted.

Edit - VW.

See? He has done it correctly. No ridiculous camber, bumpers scraping the ground or missing body parts.
