What are we looking at? im sorry but i dont regonize engines that well....

I think the eyes and shark are quite good haha, really original, 10 points for that.

That's a 1jz.

Basically a few months ago, that car was pretty much officially dead. While they were doing some work on it, they found parts of the body coming apart on it, and pretty much said the car was done and wasn't going to be driven anymore.

But it looks like they decided to patch it up and stick a 1jz in it though. What most people don't realize is that car was actually really beat up and had been in a pretty bad wreck before the current owner got it, although you can't really tell. So it's not as if the owner took a mint BMW and turned it into that.

I never knew it started out as a piece of crap actually, I figured he just liked pushing the envelope. Considering how this car has been all over the place I assumed it was in pretty good condition, otherwise you wouldn't have caught me driving it that far lol.

I think it was pretty nice.. But notice in the picture from the all-rusted phase, the smashed windshield and bent A-pillar. That was this car's point of no return, but instead of crushing it he kept it, which I think is pretty cool. Put it this way, if his buddy hadn't smashed it, it'd still be rocking nice paint..

As much as I hate all the drama and the fame that's around his cars (I really dislike how we all stalk this car like the small sheep we are :P), I do like his taste. Although you can be pretty sure that "the car is dead, this is the end" was just playing theatre.. ;)

It's actually been longer. The idea was conceived in 1988 & by 1990, the car's development began.

A picture like this hasn't been taken in over a decade.

That picture forms part of a massive F1 feature in this months EVO magazine.

The blue car front right is one of only 3 longtails according to the article.

Since were on the subject of the McLaren F1 anyway... I remember this vid I ran into... No action, but nicely made clip....

Correct. Currently waiting for my local store to get the issue in.

Reading the thread, apparently those are only used to push the car around the shop. They're not nearly strong enough for passes down the track. They run something else for that. 👍
Thank god... I posted it in the AS2K section of S2KI in our post-whoring thread, and that was my one complaint. I imagine those wheels would get warped badly after a few launches.
