Lowering the front suspension increases caster and increases its return-to-center tendency, something which is helpful in the rapid steering transitions that you need while drifting. Considering that there's little opportunity for dampers to do anything because the suspensions are so stiff, good damper tuning isn't as vital as if you were chasing the clock. Even if the roll center were much too low it wouldn't be a big issue because the stiff suspension virtually eliminates any roll to begin with; even so, 240s have many options for roll center adjustability. The low center of gravity and stiff suspension promote quick response and weight transfer, resulting in easier transitions and effortless breakaway.
