HDT Commdore's Impreza vs. Lancer 2013 Touring Car Series:

This will take place every weekend, 9:00 AM Saturday Sydney time (GMT+10) starting probably May.

Line-up:

(More than one driver can use the same car, and note that some similar models are combined. Any other models in the game (road cars etc.) can also be used if they fit in one of the following categories.)

Rules:

• Your car cannot exceed 500 BHP
• Your car cannot have less than 1100kg
• Skid recovery, active steering and driving line must all be off
• NO DIRTY RACING

Format:

• Grid start
• Fastest first
• Boost off
• Penalty off
• Automatic race start 20 minutes
• Automatic race finish max. (not sure on exact figure)
• Visible damage on
• Mechanical damage light
• Disable collisions off
• Slipstream strength strong
• Tire/fuel depletion normal
• Grip reduction real

Points:

Points are allocated within class, and are increased 50% for the grand final.

Well, I've always found rallying too difficult in gt5. The road cars with dts are fine but rally cars seem to just brake for no reason, like the tires are rubbing the wells when i turn. Previous GTs and DiRT 3 are fine.

Also, this is touring cars not rally, i might do a impreza/lancer rally series if this series works out.

As I actually have a 2 Door GC8 ,2000 Impreza done by Prodrive, the only logical choice is for me to race the works 99 Impreza Rally car, which was also built by Prodrive!

The road cars can be tuned more than the Rally cars. The weight of the road cars can be 200kg lighter than the Rally Cars.

I will be sticking with the '99 Rally Car as it is the reason I bought a 2 door Impreza in the first place. Plus car number 5 was Richard Burn's car for the 98 and 99 seasons.

Good timing, I've just started playing GT5 again after having to stop playing due to problems with my back.

Discovered last night when racing in a public Impreza V's Evo room, that the Impreza TC is utterly amazing I think I might have to drop the Impreza Rally Car I was going to use and race with this instead.
