Before starting; I have searched the forums for something like this, found one, but was dead...so I decided to make a new one here.

now for real...


SO! GT PSP being the more recent Gran Turismo, and the one with more cars, I can almost bet that every car of the anime Initial D is there!
I never had the chance of watching the whole thing, but I know what Initial D is.
I searched the web for a car list, got a bit confused since Gran Turismo has so many versions of the same model and the cars from the anime are very picky...

So, apart from the obvious (Toyota AE86), what other cars does GT PSP has from Initial D?

I think he's talking about the 1998 Subaru Impreza. Some people says it's an Impreza WRX STI GD8 and some other people says it's an Impreza 22B. I think it's not a 22B, but anyway, it's an anime and it is not so easy to know about what Impreza we are talking about. It's drived by Bunta Fujiwara, Takumi's father.

Yes, it is the one with the carbon fiber hood, and you can find it in GT PSP as Spoon Civic EK9, because in Initial D, the car it's based in the real life street version Spoon Civic EK9. I don't remember if in Gran Turismo it was feautured with carbon fiber hood, but for sure I remember the Spoon Integra was feautured with carbon fiber hood.

And now, talking about the Integra... there was an Integra in Initial D. It was the Spoon Integra DC2 [White]. You can drive it in GT PSP.

You have to excuse my sarcastic joke man, but really...c'mon... lol

At a first glance it could be a 22B, but it isn't, the 22B that McRae made famous as a lower suspension.
I believe the car Bunta drives is a Subaru Impreza WRX STi Type R Version V (GC8) [Sonic Blue Mica].
I have it in my GT4 garage, it's white though, and in my GT PSP garage I have the version VI instead, but I'm sure it's there

Yes, it is the one with the carbon fiber hood, and you can find it in GT PSP as Spoon Civic EK9, because in Initial D, the car it's based in the real life street version Spoon Civic EK9. I don't remember if in Gran Turismo it was featured with carbon fiber hood, but for sure I remember the Spoon Integra was featured with carbon fiber hood.

And now, talking about the Integra... there was an Integra in Initial D. It was the Spoon Integra DC2 [White]. You can drive it in GT PSP.

That's right, and I have both in my garage!
Guess for those two we should go for Spoon instead of Honda, only for list purpose that is, to be more accurate.
So far the only visual mod that the GT series offered us was the rims and spoilers, guess we'll have to wait for the carbon fiber hoods, would be sweet though!

You seam to know a lot about the Initial D cars, I'll update the list with the info you just gave me, and also, I've been digging some more cars, I only have names though, so I have no idea what color they are or even if it's really in the anime;

All of those cars, are feautured in GT PSP.

I added to the list the Toyota Altezza, Suzuki Capuccino, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Honda s2000, Nissan Skyline ER-34, Toyota Mr-2, and the black FD3S.

That is a great help!
Too bad GT PSP only features the RS versions of the evos from the evo VI and above.
So guess we have to settle with the GSR versions, but still good enough!
I'll sort out the list by alphabetic order, and if possible, I'll dig up some pictures from the anime as well

Haha, I watched the Anime and the OVAs arround two years ago, and I enjoyed it a lot. Before the anime, a friend of mine showed me the real character film, that it's a chinese production, but it is missing a lot of things from the anime. So, I enjoyed more the anime.
For me, Initial D shows a bit of a proper racing culture insteat of films like Fast & Furious and that kind of stuff. And Initial D helps to know some nice cars and explains some words like the Anti-Lag system.

I wish you will enjoy watching Initial D.

I saw all episodes. It is really good stuff actually. Indeed, the real live movie is not as good. The games based on InitialD are also not great.

For me, Initial D shows a bit of a proper racing culture insteat of films like Fast & Furious and that kind of stuff. And Initial D helps to know some nice cars and explains some words like the Anti-Lag system.

Indeed, I rather watch Initial D than others, but you have to admit, Gone In 60 Seconds with Nicolas Cage is a freaking awesome movie!

youtube; I have to watch the same episode separated within 3 parts, if I'm lucky and my internet doesn't mess up, I can watch all 3 parts without waiting for it to buffer.
Download torrent; I just have to wait a few hours/days (depending on the seeds) and I get a bunch of episodes saved IN my HDD, I can watch them whenever I want, with a good quality, AND without having to watch 3 parts per episode and with no buffering involved

I added to the list the Toyota Altezza, Suzuki Capuccino, Toyota Celica GT-Four, Honda s2000, Nissan Skyline ER-34, Toyota Mr-2, and the black FD3S.
I also added the Shuichi Shigeno Toyota Sprinter Trueno, that it's feautured in GT PSP as the upgraded Takumi's AE86. So, in the anime, Takumi started with the stock one, and after an engine crash, he upgraded and swaped his AE86.

About the production years, I think they are correct but if they aren't, please correct them. About the S14, it was produced from 1995 to 1998, but the Zenki model, was only produced from 95 to 96, from 96 to 98, the S14 was updated and was called Kouki.

What bothers me a little is I don't know which car is which Initial D driver's car... So I decided to start another one with Initial D cars & GT PSP cars. (It is just a draft, I haven't checked carefully what cars are in your lists - I will !!! - so I have to apologize first for any mistakes I might have made whereas you guys already corrected them, and, as I am not familiar with Initial D yet, I might have done a lot of them... so sorry )
