And your Java. Change the schedule to a time you have your computer online, but know you do not race. My computer is on 24/7 so I have mine set to Sunday at 07:00. It's a bit tricky to actually set the schedule and make it stick.

But there is a solution to every little problem ;)

Howdy y'all! Just got signed to the team so I thought I'd pop in and say hi.

As I told LJ, I'm primarily an oval guy who's just started dabbling in road. The new build kind of threw me, so I'm just kind of driving around this season looking for a fit. I'm currently running the Trucks, Class B COT, and the Mustang, all of which started out bad due to multiple engine failures (internet crashes ;)) I got the bugs sorted and hope to make a comeback.

My iRacing name is Carl Abrams II, and I hope to see you on the track!
 
Anyone plan to run in the Daytona 500 this weekend?

Well I made a team car available, link to download it is in the Topic of the Daytona channel on TeamSpeak.

It's done really fast and doesn't really have a WOW factor to it, but I bought the car yesterday just to do the paint job so I hope it can be used :)

And Good luck to those who run in it.
 
I wan't to stay in the Mclaren this season and for oval racing the chevrolet national impala.

So skins for those two cars are welcome. 👍
 
I think my psu is going bad:( i raced Daytona last night! And today tried to go practice and my computer shuts off about 2 min after i get in the sim. Tried it again and still shuts off. What a bummer:(
 
You should look at Corsair AX series Steve, the Platinum have very good efficiency so they use less electricity and on idle (browsing forums, facebook etc) the fan doesn't even run. Means less dust, less noise and a cooler cabinet.

Also you should check your cabinet pretty often, make sure it's dust free. If you have dust filters you should clean the filters pretty often. Even if you have a pretty dust free environment computers seem to love to collect dust.

Just as a example I usually remove dust every 1-2 weeks from the filters, but last time I did it it had gone 4 weeks. After I did it the temperature on my Graphics cards went down 8 Degrees Celsius, both on idle and full load. So dust really is your enemy ;)

I ordered a corsair hx750. Should be here today! I hope. My computer is cleaned twice a month for dust. Im gonna get a better case that has dust filters one day soon:) do you recommend any good cases? Thanks
 
I haven't really tested lot's of cases, but I use CM Storm Trooper Gaming Big Tower for my gaming rig. I'm so happy with it that now that I'm building a new "office" computer I will buy the same for that computer.

PSU placed on the bottom (as most new cases have) air to cool it doesn't affect the temperature inside the case.

What I love about this tower is that you can turn the hard drive slots so the air cooling the hard drives blows air through the case without blowing the warmed up air into the area where you have your CPU and the graphics card(s)

It's a big case and takes up some room, and by the look of it most ex PS3 users like small cases. But small cases get's hotter faster. Not as reliable as a big tower ;)

Although Corsair seem to have some pretty "cool" towers in the mid tower category ;)

That is the one i was looking at on new egg! Lol. I have a mid tower now, it doesn't get too hot but it lets dust in. I need filters on it.
 
Due to some members not being on TeamSpeak at all recently, we have decided to enforce the following TeamSpeak rule :

Being on TeamSpeak to communicate is mandatory, we don't want people with a selfish attitude that want to be in a team because being in a team is cool. We have decided to set a deadline of 1 month. Those members that do not show up on TeamSpeak with a valid reason will be removed from the team.

Team communication is vital in order for members to receive team updates and news.

 
I forget about team speak, I will be on this weekend some. I actually had to send in my wheel so I wasn't on much anyway but I'll do better.

I wish I knew if G27 would be better wheel than DFGT or I'd have same issues.
 
Sorry I haven't been on much this past week, been working and also been visiting my Granddad as he's has surgery and had to stay in hospital for a few nights.

Also my mic has broke (Turtle beach PX3) but hopefully after my next pay I'll get a new one to replace it.
 
As far as I heard Joey, you said you would be off for a little time until you got your self a new mic, so that goes into what I call a valid reason.

And I hope the surgery went well for your granddad mate.

We are more eager to either clean up the people not showing at all or make them act asap!

And LJ is missing your voice so to calm him down a bit I hope you get that new headset soon ;)

No worries, you had said you wouldn't be on for a couple of weeks after you joined so that is not an issue. :)
 
I wont be much online this week, finally got started painting the roof in our livingroom and I'm pretty much to tierd to race anyway when I'm done for the "night" But I show up soon enough. Much sooner than other painters anyway ;)

And Wilbur, I actually saw you came online on teamspeak, for me that was around 05:00 in the morning and after staying up all night I finally was on my way to bed. Hope I see you another time. Most traffic on teamspeak is mostly during the afternoon Europe time. and into the night as I usually stay up all night and our American friends now have their prime time.

So best chance to meat anyone on teamspeak. 18:00 GMT - 03:00 GMT witch translate to EST 12AM to 09AM. I did how ever hoped with a few American people, and a few Europeen guys the TeamSpeak server would have people more often. It's not like I have to be on for it to work ;)

And to be fair with you Wilbur, we didn't even add you to our team as we agreed on just add people we have seen on teamspeak. As that is mandatory, but you are welcome to join us on teamspeak and you be added to our website. I hope you meet someone next time around :)

You were removed from the site along with a couple of others as you hadn't been on TeamSpeak at all since you joined. We do have quite a few members that are on at US times (day and night) so as long as you keep coming on TeamSpeak whenever you get chance then you will most likely bump into one of them.

The members we have listed on the website at the moment are either new members, or have been on TeamSpeak more than a couple of times.
 
Never mind me asking for a paint. I could resist and have started making my own instead :P Not making a team scheeme at the moment though. Making one with Montoyas theme for now.
