Nice car.
My track in my basement is not in working order right now (since I built the man cave and had to alter the track). It's Bachman track with a home made power system - 4 transformers - 2 for each lane. One set of transformers is weaker for slower speeds while the other set is more powerful. I've got microswitches in the track for lap counters and lap timers and a 'red flag' switch which kills power to the track while lighting up a red light (if a car comes off the track the operator must go to the switch and kill power, then reset his car - the other driver keeps driving until the switch is thrown).

One of these days I'll get it running again but it's just so darned easy to video game race. :) At one time I had a 22 foot back straightaway leading into a high banked turn. Over 100 feet in total lap distance.

I have an assortment of cars, mostly Parma...at least one Revel...and I'm sure I have a couple of Scalextric. Scalextric are the ones with the magnets in the rear am I right?

I want one! I have AFX Thunderloop thriller. (it's like 2 Camaro race car's in a big track, that goes in a loop, and up the wall. Pretty fun.

Scalextric cars do have magnets to help traction. I have one American release car which is a Blue and Red MG Lola. All my other cars including the Ford GT are UK releases.

I unfortuantely do not have a permanent track at home,

As you say it is much easier to fire up the PS2 or whatever and race on screen...

Is there a Skyline GT-R Scalextric model?

Very Very nice car...i have got to get that one. I use AFX. I reckon that one would be good on mount panaroma on AFX.

Actually () funny story i was in the 2nd hand shop a few months ago and they had this box sitting there for 30 bucks. So i asked the dude that owed the shop what was in it and he said he didnt know. I bought it and it happend to be about 300-350 pieces of afx track with controlers, powerpacks, and cars chucked in aswell. I hit the jackpot!

I actually have a box full of about 40 AFX & Tyco slot cars...some real gems, that I've been meaning to sell for years now. Dodge Daytona...VW Baja Bug, Good Humor Ice Cream truck, etc. Won't sell them all for $30, tho. :guilty: I'd want like $200 or so. We can PM if you're interested.

This car should be familiar to GT4 players. Mine arrived in the post this morning...

What scale is that? Or is there a scale? Most AFX/Tyco slot cars were approximately HO scale back in the day. This 'day' woulda been when I was a kid...back in the 1980s.
