too right.
It's happened to me where your trying to catch someone and there's a ghost car racing with you, it just puts you off your racing line and braking points

I know right...but the problem is that there's alot events happening at the sametime down here. Sphinx you need to do something with the timing on the race events or the guys need to make sure they get their timing right.

Only had time for 2 or 3 races tonight, but they were all blinders, great racing to all I came across tonight.

Special mention to Szoag (Ton), always close always fun! Extra special mention to Vaxen, super-clean and fast in both a Vette and a Viper, someone who actually knows when to use a bump draft effectively and to the mutual benefit of two drivers. We were getting held up by a Clio in the turns and somewhat left on the straights and exits. Vaxen's bump helped me stay in touch with the Clio and pass him on the 3rd of the esses. Yes Vax I'm waxing lyrical about you because I want you to tell them about my overtake of the Clio in the middle of the esses ;)

GT5_Pink [JP], incredible in his white S2000, SebLoeb[FR] found him to be very clean and aware in his black Clio.

All the best

The timing of events has nothing to do with it. the guy in question (gtp tagged, but not one i recognised, might be new and i don't think he meant any harm by it) was parked on the main straight for 3 or 4 laps, then rejoined the race on the last lap, thats why he was ghosting.

Back at xx32 after my cig break.

It was epic, EPIC, I tell you! A daring pass the lap before, around the outside, and clean as a whistle. Unfortunately, Dunlop on wasn't enough space to allow Synwraith to build up enough space to prevent the Clio from overtaking us all again on the front straight going into the esses, hence the bump draft, which was just enough to prevent the pass. After that, Synwraith just ran away from the field, eventually winning by ~6-7 seconds.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it around until a couple laps later, when the Clio made a mistake which I was finally able to exploit.

Some great racing tonight! 👍

Ah, the Clio again! A car I love racing stock & tuned at 600PP. Can someone who knows about cars please explain to me, how it is possible that a Clio could be one of the cars with highest top speed at 750PP (well 741 actually)? I doesn't seem realistic.

Thats it for me tonight. last 2 races were terrible, full of punters, awfull to try and get past them if you were at the back of the grid.

Night all.

Hehe...I caught up with him just now....he's good!! not only that...he stops when he hits you!! Too bad he didn't use his brakes when he was behind you! :P

Ya, fun race. Unfortunately SebLeob1 wasn't afraid to use the chrome horn, especially in the final chicane.

Good race there Benannt. 👍 Your GT is nearly impossible to pass...as I'm sure you know :sly: haha. With the LM scrambled into the mix it made trying to get around you even more difficult. Even at the end of the draft your car is just as quick as my Viper. C ya :)

That was a fun race. The Ford GT is the opposite of the Lotus everyone loves here. It's pants in the turns due to the lack of downforce but fast in the straights. pp750 racing isn't my thing as I tend to favor sports cars on sports tires but I recently found the GT suits me well. I don't care for driving the tuned cars with their downforce and silly levels of grip, the GTLM being maybe my least favorite car in the game. I need a car that slips around for me to be happy. The GT sure slips around alot, especially the way I set it up, not to mention it's far more engaging to drive.

Fun battling with GTP_Redbullfix before I got my left tyres on the grass going into Casio. Tried too hard to leave enough room it seems. Oh well, still was good fun. Be back at :32 for another go round

ARRRRRGGGHHHHH. OMG I am just not driving consistently tonight! Had 4th locked up until the last corner. Exited the chicane HORRIBLY and then decide to shunt it into the barrier and throw the position to Vaxen who I was able to hold off from getting too close to me on the straights in his Viper. Still good times.

Thanks to Pent and Sinsemila for showing the way with this car... and nice to see Zabue about in one over the past few days too.

Terrible being in the lead too, I spent the first lap of one race in the lead and this one guy (can't remember his name but he was in a GTLM and his name began with an N) spent the whole lap, tapping me, prodding me, running into the back of me, trying his best to get me off the track. In the end, on the straight before the chicane, he decided to just full-on barge me off the track sideways. He did the same again in the race afterwards. He was one of the worst I've encountered and it's baffling considering he's racing in a GTLM - come on, he's got a great car there that could win without all that cheating and he still just can't be bothered to drive it properly. What's the point?

It seems very rare to race against someone who isn't going to drive like this (GTPers excepted) these days. Seriously, the past couple of days has been like a LAN party with a bunch of primary schoolers.

Rant over. :D

The most fun car to drive in the 750 class IMO... not the quickest (well, after the clio, probably the fastest in a straight line) but really well balanced and a challenge to drive.

But the most fun I've had since the 600PP days was the couple races I had yesterday afternoon round Suzuka with MrVolcano in a 500pp Rx7's on N3's... just so much more challenging to drive.

Off now... behave whilst I'm away ;)

hi guys some people know me from online MotoriusBIG Ive raced with lots of you great races everyone see you online in my silver vette :) :) :)

Heeeeeeeeeeey, how's it going mate, great to see you here! You are absolutely dynamite in that silver Vette. I remember we had some really close races, but after a while you just stepped up a gear and every time I see you, you're winning the race!

Get yourself over to the Suzuka hotlap thread here:

and post your best time, because if I remember correctly, it was pretty damn special :)

All the best mate, welcome to GTP

I remember when we were racing, you were quicker in T2 and I was quicker in T1, if you're still having difficulty catching the GTLMs then you might want to try more aero and grip so that you can pass/pressurise in the esses and Degners leading up to the hairpin. I was able to make good use of this and beat ZERODUCK in his GTLM a couple of days ago. It also allows you a superb run on them into the chicane as they tend to always be a bit slower in 130R.

Once you lose the draft though, it's pretty hard to get back in touch.

One of the things I've noticed with the NO-GTLM
2004hns.jpg
thing is that people race differently when they know they are battling for the lead instead of 3rd or 4th place.
