...and Phoenix which I think could be at Bondurant/Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park if its not in Glendale at the University of Phoenix Stadium..
Website says Wild Horse Pass, but I had no idea they were even coming. Glad I saw this, will have to get my tickets soon. 👍

So according to Jalopnik, honda may be entering GRC this year. http://blackflag.jalopnik.com/honda-is-next-to-join-global-rallycross-reports-1757906757

I'm 80% excited and 20% hoping that Toyota, Nissan, and GM come in and kick them (and Ford, TBH) between the legs and establish a new dynasty. Thoughts?

Jalopnik called it, and I knew they would run the Civic ever since they started rolling out the new commercials (the ones with the CGI and terrible song)
Also, likely tree'd

EDIT: Hang on, we need a Japanese or Japanese-American (better IMO) driver now

I don't think I've ever disliked a Red Bull livery. This one supports my belief that I probably never will dislike one.

Shades of WRC, tasty

Great to see World Rallycross start a new season. Here in the States, I'm awaiting another season of Global Rallycross. I surely will follow GRC and try to keep tabs on World Rallycross.

I'm not at all sure how Solberg had the pace in the end. Ekstroem getting eliminated in the Semi was just as strange, particularly since Larsson took the brunt of the force from Hansen's hit.

The Hoonigan Focus looked a bit of a handful for both Block and Bakkerud but it's good to see they have the pace when things don't turn against them, likewise it was nice to see Larsson's outright pace in the end. I'm glad Topi managed to snatch some points for EKS too, it was a calculated performance from both drivers.

My impressions after watching the Youtube version:
1. Bakkerud taking himself, Jeanney, and Gronholm 3 wide and recovering from that spin was straight Jeff Gordon stuff right there. That Hoonigan Focus has got power to it...then he ran out of steam in the final which was dissappointing.
2. Just how on earth is Solberg so good at beating (more like erasing) everything from well-funded privateers with good talent to straight up factory teams with an underfunded single car team with absolutely zero manufacturer support and a car that was on the chopping block a few months ago. That's simply amazing.

So World RX Hockenheim was epic. Congrats to Mattias Ekstrom, Toomas Heikkenen, and Ken Block on the podium today!

I thought this weekend was the debut of Global Rallycross for 2016, but it's NEXT weekend. Still doesn't hurt to bump an old post in preparation for the new season, eh? :)

A lot of the tracks in Global Rallycross are mostly a lot of tarmac style courses and not much in the way of natural dirt courses or anything. So while this is a good deal, I am not sure if enough of a difference can be made using these tires on the courses GRC runs. The handling performance should be improved with these new tires.
