From one of the pictures, with the SLR in the monitor, it looks like they're modeling some kind of car part in detail. But since when did they do that?

interesting, looks to me like it's a car feature though, like the corvette's hud. Looks like he's driving the Lexus IS F on nurburgring (boasting about his race ) - Does anyone know if that Lexus has a lapcounter as an option?

Those orange things (under the track map) look like tire grip meters, but not sure...
But that thing above the timer... wind direction?

that looks to me like a G-Force scale/meter

Surely an in-car HUD would be above the steering wheel/instrument cluster.
