• I was reading the GTS daily races program every Monday

• when I was just a kid, discovering first GT on PS1
• had a steering wheel before on PS3 but being a dad now I just play casual with a controler now. And I expect big changes with the haptic sensations!
• I enjoy racing games, platformers, football games, adventure games etc

Yup! I clicked the link in the welcome message for new members and I fell directly to the end of this thread to do my introduction so I missed the quiz at the beginning message... But it´s never too late to fix the fault!

• How did you find GTPlanet? - Obviously, Google it´s the culprit of find this treasure.
• Where are you from? - From the (not always) sunny Spain. As you can see at left...
• When did you start playing racing games? - Too much time ago, I´m too old (snif snif). First was Colin McRae Rally, WRC 4 and Gran Turismo 4, with a PS2 and a Logitech Driving Force Pro in a wobbling table and office chair... and after a long hiatus, during the lockdown I rescued my old console to combat boredom... and sick of fighting the wobble, now I´m playing to Assetto Corsa with a self assembled PC, a self fabricated (Patent Pending... not, just kidding) cockpit of PVC pipes and...
• Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? - ... a Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer/T-LCM combo that waits for (probably) a TH8a shifter, some body shakers and... time will tell.
• What other games do you enjoy? Any. Only AC.
• What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? To learn, to learn and to learn. And find some mods... (I think I´m more of the time installing mods than driving... (facepalm).

Played the game "stunts" in like 1992. Got gran turismo for PS1, and fell in love.

Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?

I have a g29, but play with controller mostly these days. Just take too much space :/

What other games do you enjoy?

Most sports games, some shooters, and RPG.

What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

Have discussions about THAT annoying license..

Find someone like-minded to race with, with few skills like me, but still want clean racing.

I used to play GT from 1 to 5 and was a long time member of GT planet. Stopped playing and stopped using GT planet. Now with 7 just a few days away Im reinvigorates my love of this game and am excited to be back!

Hi guys, stoked for GT7 to drop. I remember a message board way back from GT1 and GT2 That I use to post on. Is this the same site? People would share their car tuning settings, secret cars, used car lot gems, hacks on game shark, etc

Hi guys and girls, my name is Sílvio Cró, 37 and i'm from Portugal most exactly from the island of Madeira.
I found GTPlanet thru news from Gran Turismo.
I started playing games simce the PS1, the 3 first ones was GT (still have ir ), Colin McRae and Porsche Challenge.
I have a G27 (trying to update) but it's stoped because i am renewing my house, using for now the gamepad.
Most of the games i use is racing games, Dirt, RBR, Asseto was the last ones, but i like other type to, ratchet and clank, God of war and som fps.
Hope to learn some new things um GT, to improve my driving skills in the game and exchange the experience.

I'm pretty much a newcomer/noob. Gamed my whole life but never the gt series (sorry! Hah) i got a bit into GTsport just last year and with a ps5 ready to go I'm stoked to dig into GT7!
Planning on the dual-sense-life, lets see maybe a steering wheel could happen someday

Also playing Elden Ring now, man what an amazing game, I'll have to see how I'm going to manage time between these two + fulltime work etc. Ohwell, Life is good!

When I was young, I myself enjoyed Cruis'n World. Then I grew up with NFS. I picked up Gran Turismo 5 one day and loved GT with all my heart since.

Hello to everyone here on GTPlanet! My name is Shawn "Ghost of 94" and I am pleases to make your acquaintance.

I discovered GTPlanet as a direct result of my ADDICTION to anything related to CARS! I tend to get involved with car related social media on a regular basis, by watching videos, looking up cool articles, as well as playing videogames like Gran Turismo, Need for Speed, Assetto Corsa etc. This website has been my go to for at least 7 years, but I recently decided to join.

I am from Virginia, in the United States of America.

I began playing racing games at the tender age of 3. The first racing game I played was Mario Kart 64, but I first played Gran Turismo at age 4, and immediately became hooked! I was intrigued by the car selection and the freedom to enjoy so many races as well as working toward acquiring your dream car.

I currently DO NOT play with a steering wheel and I am open to suggestions for a great starter wheel from those who enjoy racing with one.

I also enjoy playing horror games, RPGs, Action, and ANYTHING woth a great storyline.

I am mostly looking forward to sharing in friendship among this community, discussing opinions and favorites, sharing media like pictures and videos, and having a good laugh from time to time.

I would like to share my natural gifts such as art creation, and music production with members here who share the same interest.

Hello there, i'm Vince from France playing mostly on Gran Turismo since the beginning of the licence and few others racing games. Growing up in the family garage and an oil refinery. Just get GT7 this morning but unable to open it before the downloadind the update. I have a very poor internet bandwidth where i live (in a middle of a forest in south west France) and must waiting 11 hours.... Hello everyone just got GT7 after missing GT sport.

I found the site when looking for information about GT 7.

I am from the East Midlands in the UK and I have been playing racing games since the 1980s when I played the formula 3 simulator "Revs" on the BBC micro.

I don't use a wheel just the standard controller.

Other games I enjoy are SCS Euro and American truck simulator as well as RPGs such as horizon forbidden west and I am looking forward to Lego Star wars next month.

I am looking to get back into online gaming as I was put off by the horrible toxic attitude that came from the time I had a Xbox 360.

Anyways off to Disney world next week so I will try and get some GT7 in before I go.

• How did you find GTPlanet? I found GT Planet at the Playstation app party chat room. A pretty cool guy named Thunder shared GT Planet's articles. I read a few. Recently I joined a Facebook Group for GT. Thunder is an admin there and today I read an article by GTP about first impressions. I noticed the link to the forum and came here today. 🙂
• I've been out of touch with the gaming community. The last system I had was a PS3 and a Wii. In December, my partner surprised me with a PS5! The first game I wanted to play was Gran Turismo Sport and FF7. I've been out of touch with the gaming and social community.
• I'm from New York.
• When did you start playing racing games? Twenty-something years ago I played Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec and fell in love. I played video games, however at the age of 5. I don't consider myself a diehard racing fan, but I love GT!
• At the moment, I use a controller. I'm not ready for the wheel yet. Maybe one day in the future.
• I'm replaying the FF7 remake slowly. GTS was taking up my time. Now, GT7. Lol! I like Streetfighter, Little Big Planet, and any other game (cute and fighting games) that doesn't make me dizzy.

Hey Everyone!

Living in Northern Nevada, the communities aren't the largest and it's pretty hard to find anyone else who plays Gran Turismo. There's plenty car enthusiasts but not many that also play video games. And that's what got me here!

I've been playing the series in a VERY light manner since I was maybe 9 or 10 (at a friend's house back when it was on ps1) and never got to touch part 3 or 4. Part 5 came along and that's when the bug really hit. I played it pretty extensively but I wish I appreciated it more. Part 6 happened and I didn't even know it did. Before I found out about 6, Sport came out and THAT'S when the addiction occurred. I never got a wheel for it thinking I'd one day recover my ps3 wheel from my old home in San Diego. Nope. Never happened. So maybe 6 months before GT7 came out, I grabbed a G923 and have messed with it on other games since. This is my first GT purely with a wheel and I'm loving it. I'm racing a lot cleaner and am taking more golds offline than I thought I would. I hope by joining this group, I can trade ideas and thoughts with likeminded individuals.

I like to play almost everything else out there as much as the next guy. I'm into the Souls series, I play a lot of BeamNG on PC, and love the old RPG (turn based and action). I tend to buy most games on PC but favor the exclusive or bigger titles on a console because I like to sit back on the couch and enjoy them like that. So if any of ya have Elden Ring, I'd be down to play that while we shoot the **** over GT and Cars. I just started getting into using an arcade stick on fighting games which I've never really been into. I'm a pretty well rounded gamer overall!
