Hello! Hope everyone is well. I am from the United States and found this forum while browsing content for Gran Turismo 7 and felt compelled to join. I have been playing racing games since the release of the first Playstation. My very first racing game was Gran Turismo. I did have a PS2 era steering wheel that I used for many years to the point where it fell apart after a while and I never did get it replaced. Since then, I've experimented with Gran Turismo, Forza, and a few NASCAR releases. Other video games I enjoy playing include the Tom Clancy, Driver, James Bond, Uncharted and Tomb Raider series among many others. With that said, I am looking forward to talking with you all related to all things racing.

I can't remember the first time I played a racing game. But probably this was with my uncle and cousin on the PlayStation 1 a long, long time ago. Hi everyone! I'm new to GTPlanet and as I just got Gran Turismo 7 I wanted to join a community. I'm from Stockholm, Sweden.
I've played every Gran Turismo game (except GTS) since the first one on PS1. I'm hoping to expand my friendlist on PSN to race and compare times etc.

Greetings. Long time lurker but thought with GT7 it was time to join in.
Have been playing since original GT on PS1. Other driving games include Forza both Motorsport & Horizon, Project Cars 1 & 2, NFS since the early ones, AC and ACC.
Yes, that is me in the piccy welding up a rear pillar in my 91 Range Rover. Said RR has modified heads, torque cam, remapped fuel system and upgraded brakes. Thinking about megasquirt'ing it as well. (look it up if you don't know)

System wise currently on controller but have a T300RS with T3PA-Pro pedals with loadcell brake modifier.

Hi everyone!

I've been playing Gran Turismo here in the United States since the 90's and GT2!

Been playing racing games since the days of Rad Racer and R.C. Pro Am on the good old NES!

I'm just a guy with a controller. No steering wheel here. I would like to try it though.

Other games I like? Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, Elder Scrolls, GTA, classic NES and SNES games (Super Metroid? Anybody? LOL!),
used to play Tomb Raider games a lot, but somehow grew out of that.

I found the site because I was looking for tutorials on Formula cars. I've been playing GT games for over 20 years and I still suck at driving them! I cannot beat the S7 Laguna Seca Honda Formula Car License Test! It's driving me bonkers! I'm still 5 seconds behind Bronze Qualifying! Couldn't win a single Formula Race on GT Sport, either! Not even with a fully modded/upgraded car! Extremely frustrating!

I do love cars though, and love to talk about them. I drive a 2019 Honda Civic Si 6 Speed Manual in real life. Any other Honda/Acura Enthusiasts out there?

hows it going, long time lurker/reader here, finally decided to make an account.
I found gtplanet months before the release of GT Sport, been on here ever since almost daily.
From the US...DC...currently reside in Japan
I play with a controller and wheel, mainly wheel... G29 and have DD248 in the mail
I enjoy all games, video games, board games, card games, drinking games, casino games, reindeer games...all of them
Getting a fun racing league going for amateurs in GT 7 for a bunch of DAD CLAN gamers like myself that would like to run some races together

I found GTPlanet by coincidence when I saw some news about GT7 on the Google starting page. I started playing racing games at about 5 years old. And I’m playing with a Logitech G29 and the H-Shifter Add-on and I’m also planning to get my hands on a handmade F1/GT Add-On wheel. I also play Assetto Corsa on the PC the F1 series and multiple typical games.. but mostly racing games.

I found it years ago, but its until now that i logged in to ask for help regarding GT7.
I´m from Argentina.
Back in the 80´s, playing arcade games like City Connection (not really a racing game), Out Run, Pole Position I & II and Exhaust Note.
I do have a new stering wheel, the Logitech G29, but I dont use it very often, because I still don´t have a rig to attach it. Also, space.
A lot: racing games, FPS, Shmup´s, Sonic Games, 3rd person action/adventure games, flight sims, RTS, puzzle games. Anything but dance games.
Help and info about Gran Turismo, mostly.

I found GT Planet many years ago whilst looking for release details of GT5, I didn't post anything on the site in those days and over time i forgot my login details so now i have signed up again.
I'm from a country town in Australia.
My first racing game was a coin op game called Road Champion. I was around when space invaders was released so i've been playing racing games for close to 40 years.
I currently use a logitech G27 wheel but will have to upgrade to play GT7 (assuming i can ever get my hands on a PS5 first)
Also love the old style shoot em up games Galaga, Exed Exes, space invaders etc.
I enjoy helping people in need.

Found you via a web search for GT7 forums.

From UK.

Have played racing games on and off for the last 25 years or so, but mostly arcadey/casual racers. GT7 is my first proper sim.

Yes, have a G29 wheel. Just testing the water. Am not using it exclusively, when I'm playing and chatting with friends I'm on the couch with a controller, so I'm probably 20-30% of the time on the wheel. I'm going to go back and reset all the license tests both controller and wheel.

Diverse taste in games. Currently rotating through Miles Morales, Horizon Zero Dawn, Rift Apart, Dirt 5, Fortnite (with friends). Tempted by Elden Ring but might be too heavy.

Most looking forward to meeting people with a common interest in GT, finding a treasure trove of info (and contributing back where I can).

I finally decided make an ID in gtplanet !

I'm from Italy

Started plaing with GranTurismo 1 and 2, and then I completely stopped.
But.. last year I bought a ps5 and a Logitech G29 to play to GTsport (now I'm in GT7).

I only play to GT.. I think it's enough.
But sometime I would like to play online some retro game or some collaborative game.

I would like to run with nice and collaborative people and have more fun
(than lobbies)

Hello all, new member popping in to say hi.

• How did you find GTPlanet?

I’ve been aware of GTPlanet for a long time as it regularly used to pop up in my google searches for tunes when GT5 & 6 were in their prime. Decided with GT7 I’d actually join!

• Where are you from?

Wales in the UK.

• When did you start playing racing games?

Well, I’d say properly back when I got a PS2 and I think GT3 was my first foray into this world and I loved it! I used to play arcade type racers (think OutRun type games), as I started my gaming career off with a Commodore 16, followed by Commodore 64 (which I still have!).

• Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use?

Yes, I currently have a Logitech G29, after previously having the Logitech Driving Force GT. PD have done an excellent job with the haptics on the controller for GT7 though so if I’m only having a quick session I tend to default to that rather than faff with setting up my wheel (I have the wheel stand pro but it’s still a PITA getting it out).

• What other games do you enjoy?

Well, I’m a run and gun kinda ‘gal at heart so I’ve always been a big FPS fan. Battlefield has historically been a main staple of mine, although the less said about the current train wreck the better. I don’t think Battlefield Bad Company 2 will ever be topped. I’m currently getting back into Destiny 2, I used to love Destiny 1, I’ve sunk literally over a 1000 hours into that game, but D2 just wasn’t the same so I never really took to that. I’m giving it a second chance now and it’s a lot better than it was, although I dislike Bungie’s current practice of ”vaulting” and ”sunsetting” older content. I’ve missed out playing through Curse of Osiris, Warmind, Forsaken and related activities, and my favourite armour is now worthless. I best get cracking with Shadowkeep before that goes 🤣

• What are you most looking forward to doing in the community?

Joining in with the chat and using everyone else’s tunes 🤣. I’m rubbish at tuning, so maybe I’ll actually manage to learn a thing or two whilst I’m here.
