I was recommended GT Planet on reddit when posting about starting a race group/league.
I started playing racing games many years ago, Outrun on the Spectrum, Supercars II on the Amiga 500 when I was knee high to a grasshopper and of course the original GT on the PS1 in my formative years.
I use a logitech G29 wheel, I know it's not top end but after some research it seemed the best in my price range and has served me well so far.
As for other games, I love GTA, Tekken, Fifa, PGA2k21 and have recently been really enjoying Returnal and Sifu.
I joined this community to meet other like minded drivers, hopefully join a league and make some friends but have realised there is so much more such as tuning setup advice and being able to share in the knowledge of more experienced racers.

I often play with a steering wheel. I have one trustmaster T80 Ferrari 488 GTB Edition
I enjoy playing FIFA manager career mode, The Crew 2 and Minecraft

Hi! I've been a long time lurker/reader of GTP, been following this site since GT4 at least. My first racing game was Need For Speed II on PS1, a year later I fell in love with Gran Turismo. I bought my first racing wheel shortly after, and I'm currently using a Thrustmaster TX with the DriveHub steering wheel adapter on PS4. I'm also a big fan of the Grand Theft Auto and Metal Gear Solid series. I'm looking forward to being a part of this community and contributing whatever I can.

Hello everyone!
I stumbled across GTPlanet when I was searching for tunes for cars in Gran Turismo 7!
I'm originally from the east coast but currently in Alaska.
My first racing game was Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, shortly followed by Gran Turismo 4. I remember playing these games with my dad on the PS2 when I was young and I have been dabbling with racing games every since.
I currently use the Thrustmaster T150.
I also enjoy a variety of shooter and MMORPG games.

I started playing racing games in 2002 (10 yo), with GT3.
I play with steering wheel. Recently, I acquired the Trhustmaster T300 RS and the TH8A shifter. Before I had the Logitech Driving Force GT, so I think I made a great upgrade.
I also like to play NBA 2K games, Grand Theft Auto and some like Tomb Raiders, The Last of Us... Stories in general.

Been a very long time reader of the forum since the release of GT5 back in the day.
I finally join the forum because of the GT7 Oversteering/Physics Issues which really bother me as I've always loved the GT Games for there attention to detail. I'm aware that GT isn't the most brutal sim of them all , and has never been but in GT7 , driving rwd cars is not as fun as it should be like in real life.
Apart from that I gathered about 35.000km on GT Sport and also play PC2 , AC, ACC as Well as the Casual games like cod etc.
When I'm not on the console or working you'll mostly find me either in a restaurant with friends or at the Nordschleife as I'm spending a lot of my time on Touristenfahrten there.
Looking forward to the discussions !

Hey everyone, I’m Kashious (Kash88414 PSN & XBOX) and I found this site searching for forums to help with gear ratio tuning tips on GT 7. I’ve been playing and addicted to racing games since cruisin world arcade games in the early 90s then on console from several dozen titles main ones being nfs series (underground 2 favorite), forza Motorsport 2-5 and gran turismo since pc and ps1. Currently addicted to GT 7 on ps5 playing with the haptic triggers until I decide on steering set up I want to purchase. I’m looking forward to reading up on any tips or advice I can as this seems like a great community of racing fans.Welcome to a special thread just for new members!

)6-I am actually running a youtube channel for playing games in all platforms, so my contribution duration will be 5 years during GT7 unless they develope GT8; In this duration I am gonna buy and analyze each car of the game and test it on USA Special Stage, Suzuka, Le Mans, and Nordschleife Nürburgring circuits with extreme modifications then I will calculate the total points based on the following equation:
Total point = (Avg_Speed_USA + Avg_Speed_Nürburgring +Avg_Speed_Le Mans +Avg_Speed_Suzuka) + (PP_USA + PP_Nürburgring + PP_Le Mans + PP_Suzuka)/4
This equation evaluates the performance based on performance point average + the average speed for those tracks with taking into consideration that each car will compete against its kinds up to 20 cars of the same type+ the tested car will always start from the last position
This equation takes into account the testing in several aspects:
1- Top speed (USA Special StageX)
2- The acceleration to reach top Speed (USA Special StageX)
3- The turning capabilities in medium-fast speeds (USA Special StageX, Nürburgring, Le Mans)
4- The turning capabilities in slower speeds (Suzuka)
5- The brakes capabilities (Le Mans, Suzuka)
6- Slipstream, aerodynamic resistance, gear distribution, soft tyres, toe in/out, brake and acceleration sensitivity etc.. for all mentioned tracks
7- The ability to learn driving the tested car from first time and how to avoid AI on pro level benefiting from slipstream capabilities
Within one to 2 months from now I will stream videos regarding each car analysis separately then those videos will be collected aggregated into appropriate playlists corresponding to manufactures so my question is:
1- Can you send me the link from where I can put my videos in a legal way without violating the rules of GT Planet?

Hi all!!! new too site lookin forward to being a part of, nice random find lookin for an update on this extended maintenance we have atm.. I’ve been there with gt since it’s inception.. yep I’m 44 and loving the new game.. I’ve raised 2 awesome boys by myself since all the while chucking in fast laps when I could during bottle feeds, gettin em ready for school watching them grow now I have an awesome 18 year old followed by his lil bro at 12.. Gt has been there with us through thick and thin.. 😘

Hey everyone, fellow car enthusiasts and gamers . I'm Adrian. Currently living in Spain. I found GT planet on Facebook. I started playing the first GT 1 on the ps1 when I was 10 years old.. became immediately hooked. Played and owned every Gran Turismo game and it got me into cars and developed a passion for them. I even collect model cars. 25 years on I got Gt7 and I love it .. but there's one thing that annoys me.. the chase cam. Would love to start a thread about this. Started racing games with the snes f zero game.
I enjoy all kinds of games but for the most part I love single player rpgs with a good story. IE The Witcher series, Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc.
Joined the community to discuss tips and tricks for all games and also discuss the cars from gt7.
Found GTplanet when searching "server down" issues today.
Started racing games with the snes f zero game.
I enjoy all kinds of games but for the most part I love single player rpgs with a good story. IE The Witcher series, Dragon Age, Mass Effect etc.

- When did you start playing racing games? Ooh fun question, I started a loooong time ago. I'm 38 years old and have been playing race games since the first Need For Speed and Gran Turismo.
- Do you play with a steering wheel? If so, what kind do you use? I used to own a Thrustmaster T300RS and used it with a Playseat Challenge. The wheel stopped working and I sold the Playseat. I might go for the Gran Turismo Fanatec DD with a better seat but haven't decided yet. Quite the investment that would be and I'm just a casual gamer.
- What other games do you enjoy? FIFA! Also like to play with my kids (Lego, Just dance)
- What are you most looking forward to doing in the community? Joining in on Gran Turismo discussions and get notified on the latest news about the game.
