Hello everyone, I'm glad to be part of this amazing community. I found GTPlanet by searching infos about cars and tuning settings for GT4 (my favorite and only Gran Turismo). I'm from Brazil and a lot of people still playing GT4 in PS2 or emulators, this game was part of most lives when comes out back in 2004. Like always I play using the old and gold Dualshock 2, never fails 😂
Other games I enjoy: Shadow Of The Colossus, MGS, God Of War, F1, Grid, Dirt, Elite Dangerous and various indie pixel art games!
I'm here to study, read, ask (obviously hehe) and help the community to grow. I already saw a lot of people helping each other in the forum and most of the answers that I was looking were back from 2015/07, so amazing.

Greetings to everyone and sorry if my english isn't so good hehe 😅

Hey guys! I am very excited to be part of this community and the sim racing community. I found GTplanet researching the Logitech DD11 setup using drive hub. I'm fairly new to all of this, but I have been playing Gran Turismo since the first ever game came out, yikes lol. I'm located in Alberta Canada, its cold 7 months out of the year so sim racing for the winter months was the thought process.

My current set up for PS5

NLR F-GT Elite
NLR ES1 seat
NLR Direct Monitor Mount
Logitech Pro DD11 (PC) using the drivehub
Logitech Pro pedal
Logitech RS Shifter

My plan is to build a PC for summer 2025 and run a triple monitor set up. I can't wait to get started and learn from the wealth of knowledge that this platform has provided!

Happy Racing!

Hi Folks,
Thanks for having me.
I’m in Scotland near Glasgow, and have just re-ignited my gaming career.
Used to use Xbox way back which I played with my young son (he’s now 29) and started gaming with a Sega Megadrive in the early ‘90s.
Dived back in after a lengthy absence about 9 months ago when I got the bug again after seeing a mates set up.
I went for PS5 slim, a Playseat Evolution PRO, & Logitech G923 for playing GT7.

Stumbled across this place as I’m looking for guidance regards upgrading my brake pedal, and the consequences of doing that with my Playseat, which is good, but seems limited due to build quality IMO.

The seat is on a ‘rectangular’ type tube, and the pedals on another which slides inside. A manual screw clamps one on top of the other with a hand held system. Under braking the try to slide apart, separating the 2 sections which I have partly resolved, but if I upgrade pedal pressure required this may become an issue again.
Wondering if anyone has experience of this?

Thanks

Hello! I found GTPlanet from a Facebook group post. I’m from the United States of America and currently compete in SCCA time trials and autocross. I started playing racing games about 25 years ago. I do have a Logitech G29 steering wheel on PS5 but mostly play on controller for convenience. I enjoy all kinds of games. I’m looking forward to continue scratching the competitive itch while my current racing career slows down while raising my family.

Hello everyone, i'm SSfox, GT fan here since GT2

Let's try to sum history with GT

First off, i don't consider myself a big stan into cars, but i do like Car at some level, actually most of my love for cars is originated from GT franchise created by that crazy insane car stan Kazunuri Yamauchi, bit others is from Bond movies and few games and movies.

Back then i heard about GT, i played some games like Porsche challenge and specially V-Rally 2 (bought simultanuesly with Silent Hill) that was extremely good and fun game at the time.

So one day i gave a try to GT2 after seeing bit of it in a cyber cafe. One got the game, i was immediately hooked, the licence test and the way you progress was very unique compare to anything i played before in the genre, i instantly became a big fan of the series.

GT3 was an insane step up from GT2, back then i didn't even knew there was F1 in this game, so it was a big shock once i unlocked it, a the nice era where there was no social media or trailer full of spoilers, just full of surprises instead.

GT4 was very great too, same goes to GT5 that i played a lot despite the hate for the latest.

GT6 is my least played GT, i think i play it like 2 hours or something, my PS3 died soon after i bought it.

GT Sport was a weird one, the first time i don't buy GT game day one, but got right when they put update with new campaign.

Just got GT7 a month ago and it's so nice to be back to GT. I wanted the game fo very long since i got PS5, but never had the time and also the SSD space (that is lesser than i though, because PSN told me i need 205 GB, but i actually only needed 130, as the 205GB was meant for the PS4 version)

That's it i sum it as i could haha, there are still lot of fun stories about GT i can tell, for example like when i didn't know you can buy used cars in GT2, so i bought a Midget the only car you could buy with the starting money and run with it for 6 hours. Until i realized i could buy used cars and got a grey RX7 that made my life much more easier and fun haha.

Hi everyone, just subscribed!

I've been into sim racing since I was a kid—my first game was Pole Position on the Atari, thanks to a friend's uncle. I loved it immediately! Over the years, I fell in love with Stunts (by Distinctive Software) on my 486—one of the best games ever. Then came Indy 500, MicroProse F1, IndyCar Racing II, Gran Turismo, multiple Need for Speed titles, F1, Nascar, some rally games... and many more.

I dabbled a bit in Assetto Corsa and iRacing on PC, but they required more time than I had at the time. Then I tried GT7 last year with PSVR2, and it completely reignited my passion! Plug and play and immersive—pure fun.

Regarding my wheels... My first one was a Thrustmaster in the 90s that didn’t work properly, but as a kid, I didn’t care—it still made me happy! 😃 After that, I used various gamepads until I got a Logitech G25, then a G27, and later a Thrustmaster T300.

Last week, I decided to upgrade, so I did a ton of research during the weekend. Now, my choices have narrowed down to the Fanatec Clubsport F1 and Logitech G Pro. It took me hours of research, and while summarizing everything, I realized it might help others in the same situation.

So, I just signed up here on GTPlanet, I’m writing this introduction, and right after this, I’ll share my summary. Hopefully, it’ll be useful to others considering similar setups!

I found this through searching for information and advice on GT games

I reside all the way from the isle of Ireland, west is best 😉

My first memory of racing is F1 the pygnosis game or GT
I played controller all the way up to Sport, the model is a t300 rs
I like a good RPG or action adventure to get lost in.
If I can contribute something to help others is always good. After that just learn from others

Hi my name is Johan and i go by my playername JohnnyBeanAdo. Nice to meet you all on here. I came across GTPlanet in a facebook group. I'm from the Netherlands and i'm 53 years young 😁 I started playing Simgames about 2 years ago and i'm realy into it. It's a little bit pitty that the most people are not racing fair or serious. My setup is a playseat evolution with a Trustmaster T300RS and T-lcm pedals. Currently i have the f1 wheel on it. I play GT7, Asseto Corsa Competizione, F124 and maybe soon Forza Horizon on the PS5. I'm surging for more serious players to race fair and learn something. Also making friends online to talk about our racing experiences. Thank you for letting me in your community and i hope we can have some quallity racing hours together.
