Iraq: Blair and Bush were ready for war from Jan 2003 (AFP)

Around and around they go, when do they stop, no one knows.

Must I bring up all 17 UN Resolutions?

Must I bring up all 17 UN Resolutions?

By all means.

Bring up the resolutions that permitted military action and discount those that are only relevant to Kuwait.

The last UN resolution on Iraq was seen by many as a "saving face" measure. If they'd been unable to stop the US from invading, it would've exposed the fact that they really didn't have the ability to stop them at all.

This is all from an outsider's point of view, mind you. I don't think any of us are privy to what the Secretary General actually thought of the whole thing.

And I'd rather not get into a discussion about that again... it was traumatic enough for me the first time.

Like I said... common knowledge, I think Bush just about stated his intent to go to war with or without the support of the UN. And it's a dead issue... why dredge it up at this point, when the US really needs more support to end the Iraqi insurgency?
