IRS | Toyota 86 Racing Series | Mondays 9p EST | BIG FINALE TONIGHT: Dragon Trail - Seaside II

I can hop on for a bit to learn some lines. I expect battles throughout the all the races as it's such a small track. I really enjoy a shorter track because you always get that feeling of "I'll get him next time". If you're chasing behind someone for awhile you can start to pick up on patterns like what line they use or where they lose time to you. You start to smell blood and pounce!

Autopolis short was very good, i didnt like the tsukuba race very much, lots of hairpins made the traffic too intensive. I've hit some guys even trying hard to evade them.

Good luck for everybody tomorrow

Tsukuba was always going to be tight. Brands Hatch Indy is just as small but has better turn variety and some wider spots in places that matter

I will post the Room ID here when I open it up. Do you mind telling us a little about yourself? Do you play with a wheel or controller?

What is everyone using to drive? Controller or wheel?

Controller unfortunately. I have a G29 & a chassis seat thingy sitting in my Amazon cart but I honestly have no where to set it up. Even using a wheel stand would be a PITA with the way our living room & couch is setup.

I know it doesnt matter much in our series, but the controller is MURDER for the front tires in FIA. Last race I wore out a set of RH's before a lot of guys had made a dent in their RM's.

Nice, I have to start getting into the FIA. Ive been there my friend I finally just bought it and didn’t look back I bought the fanatec wheel with the playseat setup.

I think the only way I could pull it off right now is to buy another PS4 and screen and set it up in our basement. The only issue I have with that is that I'm not able to be around and engaged with my family while playing.

I totally understand. That’s why I bought another tv and mounted it next to the main tv in the living. It’s helps that my kids are older though. Lol

This pic is older but only the wheel change.

Nice!

I tried to float the idea of having mine sit next to the TV area but my wife wasn't exactly thrilled with that and it would mean relocating the kids computer and desk, which would be a pain also.

A couple more years and I might have the space for a man cave. My oldest turned 14 today.

I haven't practiced much for our race. I ran maybe 10 laps just to try out the track. Focused my play time on increasing my DR and practicing for FIA since I only get the 1 shot at the early race on Wednesdays. After that race I'll practice our track until race time.

Scoring is ready to go for tonight. I think @MaiCoh may be coming back if his pedals got fixed.

Just a heads up to the new guys. The lobby will open at 9pm EST but there is no qualifying. Weeks 2-4 use reverse championship points to set the grid for Race 1. Spend this extra 30 minutes to practice and good luck on track!

I had a good time last night guys! Good racing and clean. I had to bail on the third race as I was Mr. Mom that night and had a sick kid. Unfortunately I spun in race 1 and 2 (720 after turn 2):banghead: I was cheesed about that but I got a front row seat of everyone driving by . It was frustrating as the fastest lap was 53 seconds set by our resident Alien racer_xis and my fastest was 55 seconds and consistent 56 seconds. Once l was lapped and was able to run with you guys my lap times improved. A work in progress for me and the first time on Brands. Thanks for the encouragement that you guys give me!

Thanks for the compliments, but I aint no Alien... what I do is whatch lots of hotlaps from the aliens and try to copy somethings they do. You guys should join the WRS series here at GTPlanet, you will se real aliens and they share their replays every week, I learn a lot with them!!!
